Here, we addressed the requirements for the vacuum system of the test platform used in the dynamic simulation of height(pressure)of aircraft environmental control. In the ground test, the vacuum system should be capable of dynamically simulating the complicated environment, such as the variations in pressure because of flying height, changes of flow rate of air supply, and leakage rate, etc. The pumping capacity, height dependence of pressure, and flow field of air supply…were approximated, modeled, and dynamically simulated with the self-developed code to optimize design of the dedicated vacuum system. The simulated results were experimentally tested, and the vacuum system was designed, modified, constructed, and integrated to the test platform with satisfactory results. We suggest that this project may be of much technological interest in chemical gas transportation, coal mine gas drainage transportation. Source

Here we addressed the energy efficiencies of three different types of the water ring vacuum pumps, and their respective calculation formulae. The influence of the check-point on the energy efficiency of the water ring vacuum pumps was analytically studied. The energy efficiency evaluation technique and a related criterion system were developed. In the newly-developed technique, the energy efficiency is defined as the pumping capacity per unit power; and the different check-points are specified, according to the lowest pressure of the different water-ring pumps with their rotary speed of the impellers taken as the reference, respectively. We suggest that the energy efficiency evaluation may considerably contribute to reduction of energy consumption of the water-ring vacuum pumps, and promotes the sustainable development of the industries involved.
