This paper proposes an image background modeling algorithm using Marr wavelet kernel function. For each pixel in the image we use the Marr wavelet kernel function to describe its probability distribution. Then we use the frame real-time update model to reliably handle: i) the interference of pedestrians and branches, ii) the impact of shadow changes and traffic chaos and, combining with B/RDWT movement information extraction algorithm, we process iii) region filtering and confidence judgment to get iv) complete information for moving targets. In addition, this paper uses the multi-scale edge detection algorithm to: i) overcome the impact that the traditional shadow removal algorithm is influenced by illumination change, and ii) the defect that mistakes often happen when the target and shadow have no obvious difference in color information, to iii) effectively remove the interference of vehicle shadow, and iv) improve the accuracy of vehicle information segmentation. © 2016, UK Simulation Society. As-quenched alloy Ti60Zr10Fe5Si9Nb5Mo11(at%) is fabricated by a single roller spun-melt technique. The morphology and structure are investigated respectively by using high-resolution transmission electron microscopy, and X-ray diffraction analysis methods. The results show that the grain boundaries of alloy Ti60Zr10Fe5Si9Nb5Mo11(at.%) are dark. Some nanoparticles of β-Ti and Ti5Si3 were distributed along alloy's grain boundaries. The alloys was cultivated in the simulate body fluid (SBF) for 8d and the experiment result shows that Ca phosphates depositions on alloys surfaces were gained. Moreover, n(Ca)/n(P) atom ratio of the deposition was about 1.34/1, which approach to that of human bone -1.66/1, suggesting that the alloy was with an excellent bioactivity and biocompatibility.

In the hot forging process of TC4 Ti-alloy large die forging two beam, the dynamic recrystallization of α phase and recovery of β phase were happened. Using Deform-3D finite element analysis software, the evolution model of grain and phase is constructed and coupled simulation is carried out, on the foundation of simulation results, the evolution law of α phase dynamic recrystallization and β phase transformation in time and space was obtained, so the optimal control of grain and phase was realized. Thus the performances of TC4 Ti-alloy will be improved and optimized, and all this will provide theoretical basis for the forging of large Ti-alloy components. © 2016 Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A remote temperature and humidity monitoring system is designed based on the GSM technology and MSP430. With the digital sensor DSB1820 and SHT11, the temperature and humidity of the granary are detected, and these parameters can be adjusted with the controlling system to adapt various working conditions. Through the GSM system, the detected data could be sent to various monitoring devices, such as cellphones and laptops. These data can be used for data display, inquiry, controlling and storage at the remote terminals. The experimental results show that the system is convenient and concise, which meets the remote monitoring demand for the modern granary. © Owned by the authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2016.

The aim of this study is to provide a remedy for the low absorption rate of absorber plate. This paper presents an experimental investigation and simulation of the optical path on the absorber plate with having different surface shapes. In the study an analysis of three types of absorber plate: a base flat-plate, V shape plate and the sinusoidal-corrugated absorber plate are presented. The results of the experiments were evaluated at the same time of the days. The comparisons of absorption rate of absorber plat were made among them. In order to improve the efficiency of solar air collectors, this paper presents a novel solar air collector with hemispherical protrusion/dimple on the absorber plate, and analyses the performance from the two aspects of optics and thermodynamics. For the purpose of enhancing the absorption rate, the optical path shinning on the dimple and protrusion artificial roughness was simulated by using TRACEPRO software. The optical path of hemispherical and the spherical cap dimple was simulated too. The conclusions show that the hemispherical dimple is the best in term of the optics. Then the heat transfer performance of the hemispherical protrusion (back of the dimple) was investigated by experiments. The investigation has covered Reynolds number (Re) ranging from 3000 to 11,000, relative roughness height (e/. Dh) from 0.033 to 0.1and relative pitch (p/. e) from 3.5 to 5.5. In order to determine the enhancement in heat transfer and increment in friction factor, values of Nusselt number and friction factor have been compared with those of smooth duct under similar flow conditions. Correlations for Nusselt number and friction factor have been developed for solar air collector with such hemispherical protrusion artificial roughness, which can provide reference for the design of this kind of collector. © 2015 Elsevier Ltd.

In the paper production process, it is essential to adjust the pulp concentration with high stabilization. However, the controlling system of the pulp concentration suffers from the algorithm’s long lags and the model’s indetermination. The neural network technology, which is characterized by its self-learning and arbitrarily nonlinear expressing ability, is introduced to optimize the controlling system. An intelligent controlling method of auto-tuning the PID parameters with the neural network is proposed to adjusting the pulp concentration. The experimental results indicate that the system is of high adaptiveness, high stabilization and high robustness with the proposed method. © 2015 Taylor & Francis Group, London.
