This study is focused on the prediction of mining subsidence and its impact on the environment in the Hongqi mining area. The study was carried out by means of a probability integral model based, in first instance based on field surveys and the analysis of data collected from this area. Isolines of mining subsidence were then drawn and the impact caused by mining subsidence on the environment was analyzed quantitatively by spatial analysis with Geographic Information System (GIS). The results indicate that the subsidence area of the first working-mine can be as large as 2.54 km 2, the maximum subsidence is 3440 mm which will cause 1524 houses to be relocated. The entire subsidence area of the mine can reach 8.09 km2, with a maximum subsidence of 3590 mm. Under these circumstances the value of the loss of ecosystem services will reach 5.371 million Yuan and the cost of relocating buildings will increase to 6.858 million Yuan. © 2012 Published by Elsevier B.V. on behalf of China University of Mining & Technology.


We investigated the effect of pregnane X receptor (PXR) polymorphisms on tacrolimus (FK506) blood trough concentrations and the associated adverse reactions in kidney transplantation recipients (KTRs). Polymerase chain reaction (PCR)-restriction fragment length polymorphism was used to detect the genotypes of single nucleotide polymorphism loci in 336 KTRs. The PXR six-base deletion mutation was classified using specific allele PCR, and the FK506 blood trough concentration in the KTRs was measured by chemiluminescent microparticle immunoassay. There were significant differences in adverse reactions resulting from FK506 in age, weight, body mass index (BMI) and treatment course (P < 0.05). Logistical regression revealed that the FK506 treatment course and BMI were risk factors for hyperlipidemia, and the risk of hyperlipidemia increased 27.534 times when the BMI was less than 18.5. Moreover, age was also a risk factor leading to hyperglycemia. FK506 blood trough concentration and C0/D value had an impact on adverse reactions induced by hyperglycemia. The KTRs’ PXR rs3842689, rs6785049, and rs1523127 mutation frequencies were 26.07, 11.79, and 16.07%, respectively. There was no statistically significant difference in the mutation frequency of each locus between the control group and the adverse reaction groups. Therefore, rs3842689, 7635G>A (rs6785049), and 24381C>A (rs1523127) PXR polymorphisms have no obvious impact on FK506; furthermore, the PXR rs3842689 wild-type homozygous WW genotype is a risk factor of FK506 and results in gastrointestinal reactions. © 2016 The Authors.

Photodynamic therapy (PDT) attracts more attention due to its minimal side effects, wide range of anti-tumor effects and other advantages. PDT consists of three indispensable elements, photosensitizer (PS), light and oxygen molecules. Phthalocyanines (Pc) compound as the most suitable PS for PDT is the current research focus, but how to make the Pc targeting transport to the site of tumor is an urgent problem to be solved. This review summarizes the recent research on targeting transport carrier of Pc in four aspects, namely the passive targeting, active targeting, physical and chemical targets, and multiple targets. Precursors of ammonium vanadium bronze (NH4V4O10) nanowires assembled on a conductive substrate were prepared by a hydrothermal method. After calcination at 360°C, the NH4V4O10 precursor transformed to vanadium pentoxide (V2O5) nanowires, which presented a high initial capacity of 135.0mAhg-1 at a current density of 50mAg-1 in 5M LiNO3 aqueous solution; while the specific capacity faded quickly over 50 cycles. By coating the surface of V2O5 nanowires with water-insoluble polypyrrole (PPy), the formed nanocomposite electrode exhibited a specific discharge capacity of 89.9mAhg-1 at 50mAg-1 (after 100 cycles). A V2O5@PPy //LiMn2O4 rechargeable lithium battery exhibited an initial discharge capacity of 95.2mAhg-1; and after 100 cycles, a specific discharge capacity of 81.5mAhg-1 could retain at 100mAg-1. © 2014 Elsevier Inc.

Cytokinins promote cell division, differentiation of buds, antagonist abscisic acid inhibition of seed germination. The cytokinin biosynthesis gene Ipt8 plays an important role in the process of seed germination. In this paper, we studied the alleviation of 6-BA antagonizing ABA on the inhibition of seed germination in Arobidopsis thaliana by osmotic stress. And the Arobidopsis seeds were treated with 120 mmol·L-1 NaCl and 240 mmol·L-1 manntiol to simulate the salt and drought stress. The results showed that the seed germination and growth of cytokinin biosynthesis mutants ipt6-1, ipt6-2, ipt8-1, and ipt8-2 were significantly inhibited by NaCl and mannitol. But the ABA biosynthesis the mutant aba2 was insensitived to same concentrations of NaCl and manntiol. Further results showed that the sensitived ecotype of ipt6-1, ipt6-2, ipt8-1, ipt8-2 could be recovered by adding exogenous cytokinin (6-BA), otherwise the effects were more obvious with the increasing concentrations of 6-BA.

A fluorescent probe has been developed for the determination of guanine based on the quenched fluorescence signal of Cu2 +/eosin Y. Cu2 + interacted with eosin Y, resulting in fluorescence quenching. Subsequently, with the addition of guanine to the Cu2 +/eosin Y system, guanine reacted with Cu2 + to form 1:1 chelate cation, which further combined with eosin Y to form a 1:1 ternary ion-association complex by electrostatic attraction and hydrophobic interaction, resulting in significant decrease of the fluorescence. Hence, a fluorescent system was constructed for rapid, sensitive and selective detection of guanine with a detection limit as low as 1.5 nmol L- 1 and a linear range of 3.3-116 nmol L- 1. The method has been applied satisfactorily to the determination of guanine in DNA and urine samples with the recoveries from 98.7% to 105%. This study significantly expands the realm of application of ternary ion-association complex in fluorescence probe. © 2016 Elsevier B.V.

AIM: To assess the therapeutic effect of enteral nutrition liquid on digestive dysfunction after surgery for orthopedics trauma. METHODS: One hundred and sixty-seven patients with digestive dysfunction after surgery for orthopedics trauma treated at our hospital from December 2012 to November 2013 were randomly divided into either an observation group (n = 85) or a control group (n = 82). The observation group was given enteral nutrition liquid for adjuvant therapy on the basis of conventional treatment, while the control group was only given postoperative care and symptomatic treatment without enteral nutrition liquid. Indexes such as time to ambulation, hospitalization time and time to anal exhaust were compared for the two groups. The total effective rate and complication rate were also compared. RESULTS: The time to ambulation, hospitalization time and time to anal exhaust in the observation group were significantly shorter than those in the control group. The total effective rate was significantly higher in the observation group than in the control group [95.29% (81/85) vs 84.15% (69/82), P < 0.05]. The rate of complications was significantly lower in the observation group than in the control group [10.59% (9/85) vs 12.20% (10/82), P > 0.05]. CONCLUSION: Enteral nutrition liquid use in patients with digestive dysfunction after surgery for orthopedics trauma can effectively shorten hospitalization time and improve therapeutic effect and safety. © 2015 Baishideng Publishing Group Inc.
