Based on relevant theory and experiences during the production, influencing factors and production control points of the heavy section ferrite wind power castings made of common type material were summarized. Through the control of the choice of raw and auxiliary materials, chemical composition of molten iron, nodularization, inoculation control, pretreatment, micro alloying etc., common material wind power castings were produced, which meet quality requirements of the customer. Large batch stable production was realized, which can provide a reference for the domestic counterparts. Source

The causes of the surface inclusion of wind power casting and precautionary measures were systematically summarized on the basis of relevant theory and production practice. The causes of the inclusions were analyzed from the following aspects: molding materials, slag, and dross. And the precautionary measures suitable and feasible to the production practice were put forward, which can be used for reference to the domestic fellow foundries. Source

A kind of low alloy ferrite ductile iron containing Ni with high strength, high toughness, and high yield ratio was studied successfully by orthogonal design method. The series of trial were done, and the properties of attached test bar meet the customer requirement. The tensile strength is 465 MPa, yield strength is 355 MPa, elongation is 18.86%, average value of impact absorbing engergy is 12.3 J, single value is not less 9 J, nodularity is not less 90%, size of graphite size is grade 6, ferrite mount is not less 95%. ©, 2015, Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.
