The important research works of thermal radiation property of carbon composites are introduced in this paper, the research works are discussed by the measurement equipment, the mechanism of thermal radiation property of carbon composite and the correlation between preparation process and spectral emissivity, which supplies a reference to the investigation of high temperature carbon radiation composites in the future.

The first-order Raman spectrum characteristics of the different type domestic carbon felts before and after graphitization treatment were analyzed by laser Raman spectroscopy and compared with the imported carbon felts. The results show that Raman peaks shape of the domestic viscose based carbon felts is relatively sharp, the value I/D/IC is relatively low, the values of additive bands' area ratios of IA/IG I P./IG are relatively small; the Raman peaks shape of the domestic carbon felts is obviously separated after graphitization treatment at 1600 °C, but the change of Raman peaks shape of the domestic viscose based carbon felts is not obvious, and the value of ID/IG and the ratios of additive bands' area IA/IC, I D/IG are not obviously reduced; the Raman peaks shape of the domestic viscose based carbon felts is consistent with that of the imported carbon felts after graphitization treatment, the value of/A// C is similar to that of the imported carbon felts, and the value of lD/IC is lower than that of the imported carbon felts, graphite crystallite structure of the domestic viscose based carbon felts similar to that of the imported carbon felts can be obtained by suitable heat treatment process.

In this work, on the basis of carbon materials microstructure and morphology, we study on the influence of carbon fiber content, graphite degree and metal impurities on oxidation performance of carbon materials. The result of oxidation test shows that there are more crystal defects at the interface of carbon fiber and carbon matrix, and oxidation activity of carbon atoms near the area of crystal defects is higher than others. Carbon materials with higher fiber content and higher graphite degree, has a better anti-oxidation performance. The presence of impurities, especially metal impurities play a catalysis role in oxidation of carbon materials. After purification, impurities escape from the graphite microcrystal, resulting that the distortion of lattice decreased, that cause the better anti-oxidation performance. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

A novel membrane distillation (MD) process enhanced by an asymmetric electric field was proposed. By applying an asymmetric electric field across a membrane with an increased field intensity in the direction of permeation, the permeation of water molecules through the membrane will be facilitated by the electric potential gradient, resulting in a higher flux than that achieved with the conventional process. The effectiveness of using asymmetric electric field to enhance mass transport was confirmed experimentally, and the effects of electric field parameters (including voltage, electrode distance, and electrode geometry) on water permeation were investigated. The novel process was tested for water desalination by MD and the results showed that both permeation flux and salt rejection were increased by the electric field. © 2014 American Institute of Chemical Engineers AIChE J, 60: 2307-2313, 2014 © 2014 American Institute of Chemical Engineers.

Acrylonitrile/acrylamide copolymer was synthesized by the continuous aqueous deposited polymerization using acrylamide as comonomers. The effects of the acrylamide on the polymerization and copolymer structures were investigated. The results showed that the reactivity of acrylamide was higher than that of acrylonitrile, tended to be homopolymerization reaction, which could decrease its molecule weight and increase the conversion rate of polymerization. The chain tacticity changed slightly by a small amount of acrylamide, and the crystallinity of PAN improved while the size of crystallite decreased.

Novel urchin-like CdS was synthesized via a facile solvothermal route without any assistant agent. The as-prepared samples were characterized by X-ray diffraction, scanning electron microscopy, transmission electron microscope, high-resolution transmission electron, and photoluminescence spectrophotometer. Based on time-resolved experiments, a possible growth mechanism of 3D urchinlike CdS microspheres was initially proposed. Furthermore, morphology control of CdS was achieved by adjusting the quantity addition of TGA to obtain the 1D CdS nanowires. © Springer-Verlag 2012.

Carbon fiber reinforced epoxy resin composite was made by pultrusion process, and then artificial accelerating UV aging test was taken. Bending strength test, impact strength test, dynamic mechanical thermal (DMA) analysis were applied to study the Influence of artificial accelerating UV aging on carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composite. The results show that the bending strength and the impact strength of carbon fiber reinforced epoxy composite decayed with UV aging time, especially as an exponential function because of the influence on the outermost layer of the composite; glass transition temperature (Tg) increased relatively significant at the beginning of UV aging test, and then Tg showed no obvious change; within UV region, UV aging weaken the interface between carbon fiber and epoxy matrixto a certain extent, which gave reason to the decrease of the mechanical properties.

To support integrating, managing, sharing and reusing information throughout the entire life cycle of product family in mass customisation (MC), this paper puts forward an information integration modelling architecture for product family life cycle (I2MAfPFL). As an architecture built from the comprehensive perspective of the product family rather than the single product, the I2MAfPFL is centred on the model of three-dimensional (3-D) state space with integration of the model of unit information and the model of the 3-D evolution space. In the I2MAfPFL, the model of unit information is used to represent the features of unit information produced throughout all phases in the life cycle of product family in different depth and level. The model of 3-D state space provides the structure and framework to support integrating unit information, and the model of 3-D evolution space describes the dynamic evolution processes of unit information and reveals the internal correlated, interacted and evolved relationships among them. The expression of the three models in the I2MAfPFL is explained in detail. Finally, a case is used to demonstrate how the I2MAfPFL is used to integrate information for the product family life cycle in MC. © 2013 Taylor & Francis.

To solve the difficulties in managing lifecycle information on varieties of products in the customer demand diversity and personalization environment, a product lifecycle information management approach based on product family is put forward. A 3-Dimention Product Family Lifecycle Information Integration Model (PFLI 2M) is proposed, which is composed of product main structure dimension, product dimension and lifecycle dimension, and the evolution process of the 3 dimensions is discussed. Based on the metadata method, unit information representation of PFLI 2M is studied from the physical layer, logic layer, expression layer and the application layer. The AN-IA copolymer was modified by ammoniation and the structure of AN-IA copolymer after modification was characterized, the effect of ammoniation modification on the final performance of carbon fiber was studied. The results showed the infrared spectrum was changed with the ratio of IA increasing in some way, the moderate broad peaks appeared at 1730 and 1700 cm-1 and the intensity of peaks increased. The oxygen content of preoxided fiber which prepared by ammoniation modified AN-IA copolymer was over 11%, the pre-oxidization ability significantly improved, and the intensity of carbon fiber after final carbonization can reach 3.76 GPa.
