The superconducting quantum interferometer device with Josephson junctions (SQUID magnetometer) is used to study the temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility of (Bi 2-xSb x)Te 3 (0 < x < 1) alloy crystals in the temperature range 2 to 50 K, at the magnetic field vector H orientations H {pipe} C 3 and H ⊥ C 3 with respect to the crystal trigonal axis C 3. It is found that the magnetic susceptibility of the ion core of the samples under study is χ G = -0.35 × 10 -6 cm 3/g, the contribution of lattice defects to magnetic susceptibility can be disregarded, and the contribution of free carriers is of a diamagnetic nature in the entire studied temperature range. It is shown that the contribution of free carriers to the resulting magnetic susceptibility and its anisotropy can be described within the Pauli and Landau-Peierls approach. In calculating the magnetic susceptibility, taking into account the constant concentration of free carriers in the state of pronounced degeneracy, it is found that the temperature dependence of the anisotropic effective masses varies with crystal chemical composition. This is possibly associated with the complex structure of the valence band and its variation as the Sb 2Te 3 content in the alloy increases. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The temperature dependences of the magnetic susceptibility χ of crystals of (Bi 2 - xSb x)Te 3 alloys (0 < x < 1) are studied using a SQUID magnetometer in the temperature range from 2 to 400 K with the parallel and perpendicular orientations of the vector of magnetic field strength H relative to the trigonal axis of the crystal C 3 (H {norm of matrix} C 3 and H ⊥ C 3). It is found that the diamagnetic susceptibility of the samples with x = 0.2 (Bi 1.8Sb 0.2Te 3) and x = 0.5 (Bi 1.5Sb 0.5Te 3) increases in the range from 50 K to temperatures preceding the emergence of intrinsic conductivity (250 K). It is found that the diamagnetic maximum manifests itself in the same temperature range, in which an anomalous increase in the Hall coefficient is observed. It is shown that the nature of the diamagnetic maximum is associated with the nonparabolicity of the energy spectrum of light diamagnetic holes, a decrease in whose concentration is accompanied by a decrease in their effective masses, which provides an increase in the diamagnetic susceptibility with increasing temperature. These results are confirmed by the dynamics of the temperature variation in the resonance frequency of plasma oscillations of free charge carriers. © 2012 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

There are considered the peculiarities of substantial composition of copper ores of Udokan deposit. There are given the comparative results of researches of antlerites, hydroantlerites, brochantites and hydrobrochantites. There is revealed, that hydrobrochantites and hydroantlerites, which are formed in the process of cryomineralgenesis have anomaly properties: they contain hydroxyl water, varying quantities of crystalhydrate water and decreased content of copper. These properties significantly change the flotability of minerals and require the application of non standard technological decisions during the development of oxidized waters concentration scheme. There was carried out the searching of new and more efficient reagents-collectors. There is substantiated, that during the flotation of this type of ores, the perlastan OCV is the most efficient collector. This article shows the following necessities: -accounting the peculiarities of the content of ore minerals of cryolithozone and influences of crystal water on flotation behavior of sulphates; -stabilization of energetic state of dispersion system with the control of Eh value; -application of weak energetic influences on dispersion system; -process of structuring of dispersion environment. There is recommended the technological scheme of processing of oxidized poor balance copper ores of Udokan deposit. The quality of obtained copper concentrate corresponds to the KM-7 grade.

We examine some issues related to the efficiency of public-private partnership (PPP) in the mineral resources sector. It is shown that the PPP is not a universal instrument assuring positive results. Rather it is a mechanism requiring a detailed study and an individual approach. Using a number of mining facilities of Zabaikalskii krai, an attempt is made to assess the prospects for implementation of the particular PPP projects. © 2014, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The contemporary territorial and sectoral aspects of higher education advancement in China are considered. The factors of territorial organization of higher educational establishments are highlighted for different periods of development. A territorial analysis is made of the clusters of professional education through long-term programs in support of the country's strategic development. The technique of calculating the potentials of educational centers in accordance with the rank of the higher educational establishments (HEE) involved in them, is used to determine the potential of the long-term model for higher professional education as well as of the scientific-educational clusters. We study IR polarized reflection spectra of solid solutions (Bi 2-xSb x)Te 3 (0 < x < 1) in the tem- perature range 78-293 K and in the excitation range of plasma oscillations of free charge carriers. We reveal that, as the content of Sb 2Te 3 in the solid solution increases from 0 to 50%, the anisotropy of both plasma fre- quencies and magnetic susceptibility vary insignificantly. This indicates that, at 293 K, these crystals do not show significant changes in the composition of groups of free carriers near the chemical potential level. We have found that to describe the observed anisotropy of plasma frequencies, it is necessary to take into account the effect of heavy holes of the valence band. This is also confirmed by the results of the study of the temper- ature behavior of plasma reflection spectra, which exhibit regularities that are similar to anomalous temper- ature changes of the Hall coefficient. We show that a decrease in plasma frequencies with increasing temper- ature cannot be described by an increase in the effective mass of charge carriers in accordance with the expression m* ̃ T 0.17, which was obtained upon interpretation of temperature dependences of a number of kinetic coefficients. We use the empirical Moss rule to E 2∞E g estimate the rate of decrease of the ther- mal band gap dE g/dT = -1.6 × 10 -4 eV/deg in a crystal that contains 25% Sb 2Te 3. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2011.
