A lock device equipped with an opening support mechanism includes: an operation mechanism (20) mounted to a stile of a sliding door being a door end stile or a meeting stile and configured to be operated with an operation handle (20a); a lock configured to lock or unlock the sliding door by the operation mechanism (20); an opening support mechanism (60) configured to kick out the sliding door; and a link bar (50) configure to connect between the operation mechanism (20) and the opening support mechanism (60). The operation mechanism (20) includes a slider (40) that can move vertically in conjunction with turning of a handle shaft (22) of the operation handle (20a). The opening support mechanism (60) is arranged at the link bar (50) while being away from the slider (40) at a predetermined interval, the link bar (50) being connected to the slider (40) and transmitting a vertical motion of the slider (40).

To realize the TiAl intermetallic compounds by the combustion synthesis process, the mechanical property of the product should be improved. As the remedial measures, it is said that complex microstructure controlling was effective for the TiAl intermetallic compound. In this paper, the combustion synthesis of the Ti-Ni-Al complex intermetallic compounds was attempted, and the microstructure and the mechanical properties of the synthesized products were investigated. Elemental Ti, Ni, and Al powders were mixed, and the compact made from the mixed powder was reacted by thermal explosion combustion synthesis. However, the heat of reaction was too large, the product melted and the sintered compound could not be obtained. For the some compacts, though the anneal treatment of the compact was performed to reduce the heat of reaction, the product still melted. Therefore, the mixing ratio of the powders was controlled, and the combustion synthesis was performed. For the complex intermetallic compounds obtained, the microstructure, the phases and the mechanical properties were discussed.

It is unusual to apply powder coating to the present Japanese building exterior. On the other hand, it has been popularized in overseas countries and over 10 years has been already passed from building completion. Durability has to be discussed in order to popularize in the Japanese construction industry field. Therefore, investigation into the actual conditions in overseas buildings has been executed. A main fruit of this research is as follows. The powder coated building exterior has not visually remarkable deterioration and also it would be expected enough durability in application to the Japanese building exterior.

This paper examines a method for calculating the thermal performance of curtain walling with frames. A general calculation method was used for obtaining thermal insulation and sun shading performances of curtain walling by referring to ISO and existing investigation. As there have been no fixed calculation methods and the range of modeling frames has not been clearly defined so far, it was not possible to identify thermal performance of curtain walling. Due to this, it has been often the case that the thermal performance of it is calculated assuming that curtain walling is a simple wall consisting of opening units as glazing and spandrel panels as panel materials. As a result of calculating thermal insulation and sun shading performances, the degree of affecting frames, glazing and spandrel panels to them has been made clear. Especially, the necessity for considering the frame in evaluating the thermal insulation performance became clear.

The surface crack growth rate and characteristics under high stresses cyclic loading were investigated using SN490B structural steel. It has been found that the crack growth rate under the elastic-plaslic and general yielding condition was expressible as the power function of the range of.1-integral A J. The main results obtained were as follows. (1) The shape of the cracks changed The semi-circular one into the semi-elliptical one according to the cracks propagated under the load and/or deformation controlled condition respectively. (2)TheAJ values given by three estimation methods of J-intcgral Δ J -Δ J acq, A J W Δ J φ-were almost equivalent respectively. (3) The surface crack growth rale was able to estimate by the through-thickness crack growth one by mean of convert the surface crack into the through-thickness one.
