Based on heat transfer theory, an electroslag remelting (ESR) process mathematical model for 80t level three phase furnace was established, and was checked by producing 75t 316LN austenitic stainless steel ingot. The large ESR ingot temperature field distribution and the changes of second dendrites space distance were investigated. The results shows that the temperature of slag pool center is 1800°C, center temperature gradually reduces from top to bottom along the direction of heat transfer, and the depth of metal molten pool is 1500 mm, which is about 0.8 times of ingot diameter, moreover, a 50 mm cylindrical section exists above the metal pool, which can make slag skin thin and homogeneous. At last, the second dendrites space distance is increasing trend by ingot lateral edge to the center position, it coincides well with field production results.

In this paper, the effect of tempering temperature on microstructure and properties of C12A heat-resistant steel was studied. The results show that the microstructure of as-cast C12A comprises lath-type martensite and a small amount of ferrite, however, the morphology lath-type martensite changed to polygon, among which there exist some carbonitride after normalizing and tempering. With higher tempering temperature, obvious changes of martensite morphology and precipitation distribution take place. As a result, at the range of 730-810°C, the tensile strength decrease with the tempering temperature increase, but increase when above 810°C, while the elongation has the opposite results. When tempering at the range of 750-770°C, this kind of material has good comprehensive properties.

The microstructure and mechanical properties of cast duplex stainless steel with different solution treatment temperature were studied. The experimental results indicate that the phase transformation would take place in the alloy after solution treatment at 1120-1200°C. With the increase of solution temperature, the ferrite content of alloy is improved, while the impact performance of alloy is decreased; the tensile strength and percentage elongation of alloy have little fluctuation; the yield strength is increased at 1120-1140°C while fluctuates little at 1160 to 1200°C.
