The inertial effects of the components in the transmission device have both advantages and disadvantages and can not be unavoidable, it has direct influences on starting, braking, energy consumption and the equipment service life, it is one of the important problems need to be discussed carefully. Using the mechanics principle, this paper analyzed the calculation method of inertial effect in gear, and obtained the torque expression of the different sections in the transmission chain and the power factor of inertia effect, the results of the given numerical example show the correctness of the conclusions. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. The first-order simple boundary and second order narrow boundary theory are used to study the failure probability assessment problem of the statically determinate structures. In the analysis, the transformation from the general normal random variables to the standard normal random variables and their linear independence transformation are given, and the check point iteration calculation problems of the nonlinear function limit surfaces are investigated, and the linearization problems of these nonlinear functions are also studied, and a new Newton iterative calculation method is proposed in this paper, this new method has high calculation precision and fast convergence rate, the results of given example shows the feasibility. A kind of new labor-saving punching machine design scheme is put forward basing on the mechanical analysis, it has not motion dead point and has better labor-saving effect. The working stroke and the function relations between every structural design parameters and loading expressions on the the main bearing components and the driving torque of the punching machine have been deduced. These conclusions can provide theoretical references to the next structural strength designs and stability analyses and the reliability designs. This design can provide design ideas and principle model for sheet metal cutting and punching and stamping and pressing. Source

Wave function expansion method and vibration theory are employed to study the out-of-plane response problem of the double degree of freedom vibration system installed on the half circular rigid platform on the half space boundary. The total displacement in the half space media was given using elastic wave theory, and the second order constant coefficient differential equations with which the double degree of freedom oscillatory system can also be given with the vibration theory, the unknown coefficients in the scattering functions can be obtained using the displacement and stress continuity conditions on the interface between the media and the rigid platform. And the variations of the relative displacement amplitude ratios of the rigid platform and the vibrators and the tangential stress concentration factor on the half circular interface can be given, the numerical results of given example show the correctness of the conclusions in the paper. © 2016, Journal of Mechanical Strength.
