We have found that the areal of distribution of horses and that of gadflies of the order Gasterophilus don't match. The northern border of the Yakut herd horses is considerably greater than the spread of gastric gadflies of horses. Boundary of the natural habitat of horses extends to 69-70o N latitude and 156o E longitude, while the border area of natural habitat of gadflies is limited by more southerly areas and extends from 69o N latitude and 146o E longitude. In Central and Western zones an extent of infestation is 100%, in the North-Eastern region it ranges from 100 to 0%. Species composition of gastric gadflies in Central Yakutia is presented by 5 species, and the species is G. intestinalis - 69.5%, G. veterinus - 12.8%, G. pecorum - 13.4%, G. haemorrhoidalis - 3.8% and G. nigricornis - 1.1-1.6%. In West and Northeast regions species composition has 4 types, except the last one.

A decrease in the venison consumption has led to a shortage of protein, amino acid, vitamin and mineral nutrition of indigenous minorities of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the Russian Federation, that, in turn, is a factor in the development of various alimentary diseases. In the overall prevalence of diseases the data on diseases of the endocrine system (from 3 to 30 times), and diseases of the blood and blood-forming organs (by 4-8 times) considerably exceed the indicators of the other regions. Boiled meat and broth made of venison have excellent organoleptic characteristics. Venison contains 19.55±0.03% of protein, 18.81±0.05% of fat, essential amino acids - leucine, lysine, methionine and tryptophan, nonessential amino acids - tyrosine and cystine, and all the essential major and minor mineral elements, saturated and monounsaturated fatty acids, vitamins A, B12, B3, B1, Bc, E, the energy value of venison is 254.77±5.10 kcal.

The average potential fecundity of Oedemagena tarandi L. and Cephenomyia trompe Modeer females bred in cages is higher than that of the females caught in the wild. The potential fecundity of the first species is 564.8 ± 16.4 against 336 ± 64.5 eggs, and the potential fecundity of the second species is 692 ± 12.8 against 96.7 ± 77.1 larvae, respectively. Females C. trompe Modeer live from 7 to 27 days (17.2 days upon the average) at the average air temperature 7.1°C, males live from 4 to 24 days, 12.2 upon the average. Oe. tarandi L. females lifespan is from 1 to 17 days, 9.57 ± 2.32 days upon the average (average value of three samples), males - from 2 to 19 days, 9.53 ± 0.9 upon the average. Warble flies remained alive after being in the snow at the temperature of -12°C for 12 h, and when the cages were brought in a warm place they began moving actively after 20-30 min.

There is new data on the prevalence and characteristics of population immunity against HBV among the indigenous population of the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) of the Russian Federation. HBV infection in the risk group is significantly higher than in the normal population, in patients with type 2 diabetes, there is a high parenteral infection of HBV, HCV and HBV + HCV (71,5%, 10,8% and 7,5% respectively). It was shown that every other 3- 8 years among children and adults of Yakut population living in the Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) (hyperendemic region on HBV), vaccinated at birth against HBV, the frequency of detection of anti - HBs in protective concentrations (> 10 IU / l and higher) is - 72.2%. Saving anti-HBs in vaccinated for 8 years indicates a high efficacy of vaccines against hepatitis B.
