The action time of relay contactors are not the same, which is likely to cause competition risk phenomenon leading to abnormal working of the control circuits. A practical relay control circuit function simulation and detection method is introduced, where KEIL and PROTEUS software are used to establish the relay model which puts forward the relay action contains four different delay time. A relay control circuit model is established based on an on-site case, an algorithm closer to the actual working condition is presented. By functional simulation, it is proved that the model can simulate the function of control circuit and detect the competition risk phenomenon. The method is simple, effective and intuitive, and it can be used for performance analysis of electrical control circuit based on relays. ©, 2015, Power System Protection and Control Press. Along with the rapid development of power industry, the protection plans for voltage levels of 110 kV and above have been fully developed. Plant medium voltage distribution switchgear cabinet is used as the power hinge for the voltage levels from 6 kV (10 kV) to 35 kV. Whether an internal fault would be rapidly removed is very important for the safe operation of the distribution system of the whole plant (substations). Currently, the arc protection is gradually used at the 35 kV and below distribution cabinet in Grid Corporation. Arc protection technology is also an outstanding technological progress in the field of relay protection. Using arc protection system, the time interval between arc fault and tripping can be less than 4 ms. It is much faster than the traditional relay protection equipment. The workers and equipment are not subject to the hazards of arc. Arc protection technology has been fully developed and successfully applied in the power field. Source

According to a trip event of redundant pole control system in Baoan converter station, based on onsite description and observation and analysis for spoiled COL module, we found out that a capacitor breakdown led to the COL fault. The capacitor breakdown produced a nonlinear and low resistance short circuit. This translated into that COL was burned down. An improved scheme is given for COL installation and power supply circuit in pole control cubicle. The improved scheme can avoid trip caused by COL fault, and greatly improve the reliability and stability of pole control system. © 2016, Power System Protection and Control Press. In the process of pushing forward the smart grid construction, the standardization shows its self-evident significance during the smart grid construction. This paper introduces profession scope of IEC/TC95 (measuring relays and protection equipment), activity of six international standards maintenances teams; discusses the market demand, the trends in technology and trade, the ecological environment, and the work programmer and the future work in the IEC/TC95. It introduces the published IEC/TC95 standards and maintenance, and puts forward the IEC/TC95 standards system planning and SAC/TC154 standard system planning, which provide a good reference for the design, manufacturing, testing, operation and maintenance of relay protection and maintenance of the IEC/TC95 international standards and SAC/TC154 national standards. This paper collets and studies all the standards released by IEC / TC 57 since it was established, and briefly introduces and analyzes them in terms of relevant information, corresponding standards in China, standards series, etc. At the same time, all standards currently being revised and formulated or the new standards going to be applied for are summarized and analysed. In terms of the time, use and operation, etc, this paper studies the IEC/TC 57 International standard system, makes some prospects on the development tendency of the domain, and discusses the hot points of this filed in the future.
