Two schemes of the metal mold low pressure series casting method for producing aluminum alloy conductor were analyzed comparatively. Two schemes adopted one mould-multi parts. Compared with one mould-two parts in metal mold low pressure casting, casting quality is more desirable with higher production efficiency and lower cost. Horizontal parting scheme can complete the entire production process under condition of absence of core pulling mechanism, however, each piece must set a vent or the upper ejector rod to prevent the occurrence of casting top pocket and misrun. Vertical type scheme can complete the whole production process under condition of absence of mechanism with upper mold, and the misrun and top pocket can be eliminated as a result of exhaustion from parting face.
