Based on the aim and principle of the optimization of toroidal worm, this paper solves the optimization of various modification parameters of toroidal worm-gearing by complex method. According to the modification theory, constraint conditions and modification values are chosen to achieve the optimal design of modification. The paper builds optimal design program for toroidal worm and compare the optimal results. Then, mainly introduces the application of optimal design program in production processes. © 2010 IEEE.
