Smart grid demand response provides a new opportunity for energy intensive users to reduce electricity cost and participate peak load regulation of power grid, in the time-of-use (TOU) form of demand response, considering minimizing the electricity cost in production, a mathematical model of hot rolling batch scheduling problem was established, and a two-stage optimization approach was proposed for economic load dispatch. In the first stage, the rolling units were constructed and the corresponding power load was determined. In the second stage, load shift rescheduling was put into effect according to TOU tariffs to sequence the rolling units and arrange them into reasonable time periods to avoid on-peak load, and the implementation of two-stage optimization was based on genetic algorithms(GA).The results show that the proposed approach can reduce electricity cost of hot rolling on the premise of ensuring the production and promote peak load regulation of power grid. ©, 2014, Central South University of Technology. In order to solve the problems of premature convergence and poor local search on particle swarm optimization (PSO) algorithm, an improved quantum particle swarm optimization (IQPSO) approach was proposed. Based on quantum particle swarm optimization algorithm (QPSO), good-point set was introduced to the approach to initialize initial angle of quantum position, to improve ergodicity of initial population. To make particle jump out of local extreme value point, the chaotic time series numbers were used to update particle velocity. To prevent particle from premature convergence, mutation process was added in the approach. The simulation experiment results show that the improved algorithm has rapid convergence, good stability and it gives better performance than standard particle swarm optimization (SPSO) and quantum particle swarm optimization (QPSO). Aiming at the strain aging process for high grade pipeline steel, a series of comparative researches were carried out on the microstructure and mechanical properties of X90 longitudinal submerged arc welded pipe before and after different strain aging processes, and the effect of stain aging on microstructure and mechanical properties of X90 pipeline steel was investigated. The results indicate that before and after different stain aging processes, the change of microstructure and impact toughness of X90 pipeline steel is not obvious. The tensile curve changes from round house-shaped continuous curve to Lüders curve, and yield strength and yield ratio increase after stain aging process. The higher the pre-strain value is, the more significant the increments of yield strength and yield ratio are, and the transverse properties is more strongly affected than the longitudinal properties, while the aging process in the range of 200-250℃ has a little influence on yield strength and yield ratio. © 2016, Editorial Office of "Jinshu Rechuli". Thermal simulation compression experiment was operated to examine the high temperature deformation resistance of SA533B nuclear pressure vessel steel under different thermal deformation conditions by means of Gleeble-3500 thermal simulation tester. The relationship among the deformation temperature, deformation rate, the deformation degree and the deformation resistance were determined. The mathematical model of the deformation resistance for SA533B steel was established finally. The results show that the effect of deformation temperature on deformation resistance is greater, and deformation resistance changes largely at low deformation rate, the effect of deformation degree on deformation resistance is mainly in the initial stage of deformation. The mathematical model of deformation resistance is σ=4311.322584× ε0.098ε0.0874exp (-0.0034T+0.2813ε). Source

Composite CeO2-Al2O3 oxides with high surface area, large pore volume and large pore diameter were prepared by ultrasonic co-precipitation; with CeO2-Al2O3 as the support, Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalysts were obtained by impregnation method. The supporter and the as-prepared Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalysts were characterized by XRD, NH3-TPD, nitrogen sorption and SEM; their catalytic performance in the dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane as a model compound was investigated in a micro tube-reactor and the influences of Ce/Al (mol ratio) and reaction temperature on the dehydrogenation activity were considered. The results indicate that the Pt/CeO2-Al2O3 catalyst with a Ce/Al (mol ratio) of 0.5 performs best at 450 ℃ in the dehydrogenation of methylcyclohexane, with a methylcyclohexane conversion of 88.53% and a selectivity of 94.63% to toluene. © 2016, Science Press.
