The energy dispersive X ray fluorescence spectrometry (EDXRF) has been used in some departments and fields, and it has become an important tool for the physics and chemistry laboratory. The main performance index of the present EDXRF spectrometry has been introduced, and its development status of the hardware and the software has been summarized. Some new model EDXRF products has been described, the trend and the prospect of the EDXRF has been expected.

The inverse square law was used to calculate the volume source absolute efficiency by point source experiment based on virtual point detector (VPD) model. It provided a methodology for the peak efficiency calibration of volume source for HPGe detector. With the experiments, the results show that in some conditions it's a useful and feasible method of peak efficiency calibration for volume sources, and the method can be used in engineering-oriented practice.

This paper studies the drift trend of γ radionuclide spectrum of emissions gas by NaI detector embedded α radioactive source in different working conditions, changing the operating temperature and the operating voltage of the detector to explore the laws of the measured spectrum of the drift trend, and the using of appropriate software and hardware circuit to achieve the stability of the energy spectrum peaks. This technique can ensure accuracy of the measured γ radionuclide and the stability of the energy spectrum peaks. So in practical applications the device can distinguish the γ radionuclide correctly and can perform detailed analysis of emission concentration. ©, 2015, Atomic Energy Press. All right reserved.

Discussed were three kinds of pixel-level data fusion algorithms and their implementations, including weighted mean method, hue-saturation-intensity method (HSI) and principal component analysis (PCA). Then data fusion simulation experiments were carried out on full-color images and multispectral images. Finally, comprehensive assessments were performed on the performance from the three aspects of information entropy, definition and spectrum feature. The experimental results show that the blending images based on HIS are clear, coordinative in color, obvious in detail features, and reserve more spatial information.

The article has all-around discussed the basic elements and characteristics of nuclear power plant environmental monitoring system, centering on the choice of gamma radiation detector, and the network mode, as well as anti-jamming design. Also, the arguments are aimed at the purpose and necessity of the nuclear power plant environmental monitoring system building. The network of power plant environmental monitoring system is a complicated process. The system is so special that we will meet some questions and difficulties when building the network. The paper also demonstrates the specific solutions to the questions and difficulties of network in some details.
