Data dispersal mechanism is a group of basic working protocols for oceans of data processing and it plays an important role in enhancing system error correction and avoiding storage device failure. The data recovery availability of the client is the main design goal of data dispersal algorithms. The system storage and computing costs are also important factors for a data dispersal algorithm. In this paper, we discussed how to disperse data with the special properties as well as with acceptable system costs. We developed a universal approach to measure storage node availability based on state variables. After analyzed the existing data processing algorithms, we presented a new hybrid data dispersal algorithm using the above approach in detail evaluation. Two redundancy policies are adapted to storage node with different node availability. According to our analysis, this algorithm has its advantages in system storing and communication bandwidth costs. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

To improve the usability and operability of the hybrid-identification reconnaissance radar for individual use, a voice identification System was designed. By using SPCE061A audio signal microprocessor as the core, a digital signal processing technology was used to obtain Doppler radar signals of audio segments by audio cable. Afterwards, the A/D acquisition was conducted to acquire digital signals, and then the data obtained were preprocessed and adaptively filtered to eliminate background noises. Moreover, segmented FFT transforming was used to identify the types of the signals. The overall design of radar voice recognition for an individual soldier was thereby fulfilled. The actual measurements showed that the design of the circuit improved radar resolution and the accuracy of the radar identification. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

Contamination of seismic signal with noise is one of the main challenges during seismic data processing. Several methods exist for eliminating different types of noises, but optimal random noise attenuation remains difficult. Based on multi-scale, multi-directional locality of curvelet transform, the curvelet thresholding method is a relatively new method for random noise elimination. However, the high redundancy of a 3D curvelet transform makes its computational time and memory for massive data processing costly. To improve the efficiency of the curvelet thresholding denoising, a low-redundancy curvelet transform was introduced. The redundancy of the low-redundancy curvelet transform is approximately one-quarter of the original transform and the tightness of the original transform is also kept, thus the low-redundancy curvelet transform calls for less memory and computational resource compared with the original one. Numerical results on 3D synthetic and field data demonstrate that the low-redundancy curvelet denoising consumes one-quarter of the CPU time compared with the original curvelet transform using iterative thresholding denoising when comparable results are obtained. Thus, the low-redundancy curvelet transform is a good candidate for massive seismic denoising. © 2015 Sinopec Geophysical Research Institute.

To meet the comprehensive maintenance demand of optical fiber transportation networks, an integrated optical cable on-line monitoring system is designed in this research. The researched employs modular structure, integrated function, and blended multiple communication interfaces for the key technologies of monitoring 128 modules. By using the technologies, speech path and signaling are able to transmit simultaneously. Then the research establishes the on-line monitoring system which integrates the functions of real-time monitoring of terminal offices on optical cable line and end machine, automatic dispatching of circuits, and maintenance test for optical transportation equipment. By applying the system on-line, the research verifies that the functions and technical indexes of the system meet its design requirements. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.
