The Chinese contemporary building's history context is very important topic in today's architecture design. Those are new needs in the speed time, which are the Fashion, national and local features, and adapting to the speed life. The Chinese contemporary building's history context design should not be limited in the traditional form, which the "expressing the spirit and the soul of the history and following the time" is the new inheriting principles. A new structural arrangement style of high-rise tubular 3D parking structure is presented, which is to set hoop stories like bamboo knots at the proper levels along the height, and the optimal arrangement principle of hoop stories is analyzed. The static properties and stability of the structures with different arrangement schemes of hoop stories are compared. Results indicate that, the lateral stiffness of the structure with hoop stories set according to the equal stability and equal drift principle is remarkably improved; the storey drift becomes more uniform, which benefits the stable operation of hoisting machines; also, the sudden change of the internal forces of columns is relatively moderate and the structural overturning resistance is enhanced. Finally, the parametric analyses on static properties and stability of the structures with optimal arrangement of hoop stories are studied in detail. © 2014, Advanced Steel Construction. Construction of new design scheme in new rural settlements should be closely around the "people-oriented and environment-centric" design concept under eco concept, in building a sustainable living environment system in the countryside. This paper, through a large number of field research and scientific research, uesd rural settlements in Guanzhong area as an example, and proposed optimization design pattern of settlements planning and design under eco concept in socialism rural settlement. A typical village-Donghan Village in Huxian County is taken as an example, in keeping with the practice of the optimized design patterns. It would have certain theoretical and practical guiding significance for the sustainable development of rural settlements.

To verify the performance of the collaborative work of the cotton straw block and frame, a pseudo-static seismic experimental study was conducted on the main failure process and loading characteristics of ecological composite walls filled with cotton stalk blocks with a ratio of 1:2 under low cyclic loading. The seismic behaviors of the ecological composite wall were compared with those of the composite wall filled with aerated concrete blocks in terms of bearing capacity, hysteresis loop behavior, ductility, and degradations of strength and stiffness. The results show that the performance of the collaborative work of the cotton straw block and frame was good in the elastic stage and bad in the elastic-plastic stage, a shear failure of the strong column and weak plate occurred in the composite wall, and the ecological composite wall filled with a cotton stalk block had a strong ability to resist collapse.
