Along with the structural miniaturization and three-phase-in-one tank of GIS, the electrical performance of disk-type insulator in GIS becomes more important for designers. We calculated the three dimensional electric field intensity and potential distribution of disk-type insulator in GIS by FEM, and analyzed the electric field distribution on protruding surface and concave surface. The maximum of electric field intensity was found under different working voltage. The main factors affecting internal insulation and surface insulation of GIS and the effect of related structure parameters on electric field distribution were obtained by analyzing the computation results. Thereby, structure optimization for disk-type insulator was implemented by solving the related inverse problem. The numerical analysis results can propose the advice and theory support for engineering practice.

The substation configuration language defined in the IEC 61850 is used to describe the primary system topology, function topology as well as communication topology of the overall substation. An expert system of automatic interlocking schemes generation for digital substations is proposed. The expert system takes the SCD file as its input, and extracts the primary system topology from the file. The expert system development platform-CLIPS, is used as the inference engine. The object-oriented knowledge paradigm is adopted in the system. The knowledge base is independent of the inference engine, and the control rules are independent of the domain rules as well, which make the expert system more adaptive and simple to maintain. The tests using many typical primary system topologies demonstrate the correctness and feasibility of the proposed expert system.

A new centralized wide area automatic switchover system based on dispatching automation system is proposed. The software architecture and functional implementation are introduced, including the automatic switchover modeling, network monitoring, acting conditions judging, locking conditions judging and sequence controlling modules. Meanwhile, characteristics and field operations of the system are analyzed. The system can overcome the limitations of the traditional automatic switchover device effectively, and can make full use of dispatching automation system's information collecting and network analysis functions from the point of view of the whole power grid. The proposed system can not only replace the existing automatic switchover device, but also can be a useful addition to it. © 2010 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

The current status of 20 kV line protection is introduced first. Then focusing on neutral low resistance grounding power system the advantages and disadvantages as well as the applicable scope of zero-sequence over current protection and zero-sequence power directional protection are analyzed. With the results of theoretical study and laboratory fault tests, the problem of single-phase high-impedance grounding faults causing line protective relay miss-operation is further discussed. At last, based on simulation analysis, technical measures are provided to improve the protective relay operation performance for single-phase high-impedance grounding faults. ©2010 State Grid Electric Power Research Institute Press.

As the simple GUI toolkits could not satisfy the increasing demands of the measuring and control unit, Android of Google is adopted as the software development platform and new man-machine interface is developed. The existing system software architecture of Android is modified and adjusted to make it more suitable for the measuring and control unit. Its functional modules are designed with the existing components of Android, such as the protocol module, logic module, CAN module, etc., which makes the design more reasonable and the inter-module coupling less. Its man-machine interface is designed based on OMAP3530, which is more functional, more user-friendly, more suitable for users and easier to upgrade and maintain.

With the electric energy demand and electric supply reliability increasing, the inspection and maintenance task exceed the ability of maintenance manpower by using the traditional operation and maintenance mode. The concept based on 'mobility' and 'standardization' is adopted to transform the traditional inspection and maintenance method. RFID technology, portable terminal device, wireless communication technology, GPS navigation technology, temperature measurement chip technology were adopted to construct intelligent inspection and maintenance system for distribution network. The application of the innovation technology promoted field inspection and maintenance to achieve the Informatization, standardization and intelligentization. The inspection and maintenance quality for distribution network equipment and channel was improved, which meet the need of condition based maintenance of distribution power network. © 2016 IEEE.

This paper analyzes the time sequence of sampling and transmission link in the process of point-to-point transmission of electronic transformers analog sampled values in smart substation, and obtains the parts of the rated delay of analog sampled values by point-to-point transmission. And then it puts forward a rated delay calibration scheme for point-to-point transmission of samples values. The method combines the calibration method of analog sample values phase error with the measurement of delay messages of analog samples values to prove the numerical correctness of the rated delay. Theoretical analysis and practical testing verify the feasibility and correctness of this method. This method is easy to realize and shows high precision. It is of practical significance of being widely promoted.

As the development of local economy and the expanding of urban zone, the overhead electric transmission lines of every voltage are all limited to a certain extent. Consider of the city planning and huge electricity requirement, 220kV substation with all cables inlet and outlet are experimented and extended step by step in Wuxi, adopting 240MVA high capacity transformer and 2500mm2 cross-linked cables, and their design and construction are both at exploration stage. This article simply studies on the layout of substations already in operation, construction and design, and provides some approach for the similar substations' design in the future. © 2010 Chinese Soc for Elec Eng.

The exchange of 2502 circuit breaker, 220 kV side, II main transformer, Wuxi JiangXi electric substation(CIRCUIT BREAKER2502), works as an engineering example, through concrete projects and plans for presentation and analysis, demonstrating the construction technology feasibility of implanting chemical anchor bolts into the original foundation. Practical application in engineering and the test results of construction verify the reliability of the construction technology; by comparison with the traditional construction process, it also demonstrates the technology has clear advantages for economic indicators. © 2010 Chinese Soc for Elec Eng.
