We show that Fock states and Schrödinger-cat states can be conditionally generated by adding multiple photons to a squeezed vacuum state. To demonstrate this, we mainly investigate the photon-number distributions and the Wigner function of the multiple-photon-added squeezed vacuum state (MPASVS). We find that for small squeezing parameter r, the MPASVS approaches to the Fock state |m⟩, and the fidelity between the m-photon PASVS and the Fock state |m⟩ is close to 1. In terms of the fidelity between the MPASVS and the Schrödinger-cat state, as well as the Wigner function of the MPASVS, we show that the MPASVS is basically a Schrödinger-cat state with high fidelities and large amplitudes for the appropriate squeezing parameter. © 2013 EDP Sciences, SIF, Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg. This paper considers the identification problem for multi-input multi-output nonlinear systems. The difficulty of the parameter identification of such systems is that the information vector in the identification model contains unknown variables. The solution is using the auxiliary model identification idea to overcome the difficulty. An auxiliary model based multi-innovation extended stochastic gradient algorithm is presented by expanding the innovation vector to an innovation matrix. The proposed algorithm uses not only the current innovation but also the past innovations at each recursion and thus the parameter estimation accuracy can be improved. The numerical example shows that the proposed algorithm is effective. © 2010 Elsevier Ltd. Source

This paper presents a gradient-based iterative identification algorithm and an auxiliary-model-based multi-innovation generalized extended stochastic gradient algorithm for input nonlinear systems with autoregressive moving average (ARMA) noises, i.e., the input nonlinear Box-Jenkins (IN-BJ) systems. The estimation errors given by the gradient-based iterative algorithm are smaller than the generalized extended stochastic gradient algorithm under same data lengths.
