This paper mainly discusses a kind of Rail-cum-road detection system, based on which this system is designed of. This system takes the road-railer as the carrier and integrates a variety of high precision sensors, which realizes the automatic testing of all the functions of rail index, such as track geometry parameters, railroad section and geometry deformation.

This article focuses on the basic framework of the portable and automatic measurement system measuring the volume of the large open-air heap equipment automatically based on the car carrier, the use of laser sensors and rotating head automatically obtain the heap surface point cloud data, calculation heapthe surface of three-dimensional graphics through three-dimensional modeling, and calculating the volume of the pile.

This paper introduces the working principle and performance parameter about incremental encoder and GPS. And it describes their using method and theory in the measurment vehicle. Combination of both in measure can obtain higher data. Nevertheless, they still have defects, which, we illustrated in deficiencies. All these provide reference for the follow-up improvement.

In view of the problem that the existing conveyor belt detection device is not effective in detecting conveying problem of low reliability in harsh environments, longitudinal rip of belt, a new method based on on-line monitoring and inspection was presented in this thesis. By arranging the light curtain sensor below the conveyor belt, and continuously collecting the data through the light curtain sensor, the system can analyse multiple sets of collected data sing the delay interval algorithm and monitor the duration, movement direction and interval size that the lights of the light curtain sensor emitted has been continuously blocked. All these data helps detect if the conveyor belt has been tom. It is proved in the heat-engine plant C of Guangdong that the detection rate of the conveyor belt longitudinal tearing is above 95% , and the monitoring system can work normally in harsh environment and can be worthy of popularizing.

The road geometry is one of the most important indices that reflect the road condition. In order to collect this data, scholars developed several detection methods in recent years. This paper introduced a Road Geometry Detection System based on section measurement method. The detection system applies a inertial measurement unit (IMU) and laser rangefinders (LRFs) fixed on a measuring platform to capture the data of the slope and cross slope of the pavement. However, the detection system is limited as it needs to calibrate the system before a measuring task and this problem affect the measurement accuracy seriously. This paper proposed an efficient method to calculate the angles between measuring platform and each LRFs, which improve the detection accuracy effectively. Finally, a case study showed the proposed detection system and calibrating method was feasible and effective. © 2015 IEEE.

This article analyses the current development situation of pavement deflection detection technology in home and abroad. According to these, the article also shows us some problems and deficiency of road deflection testing in real application. This article introduces the framework of laser dynamic deflection measurement system and the data collection process. On the other hand, the article uses Euler-Bernoulli Equation to back analysis the collecting data and gets the pavement deflection. This system essentially has changed the traditional detection method of the deflection.
