Strengthening and toughening mechanisms in composite ceramics is complex. A change in a single parameter induces multiple property variations. The multiple changes in properties are often incompletely represented in theoretical models. This incompleteness in the parameter chosen fails to explain the mechanism of failure in composite ceramics. The exponential toughness function is used to represent the pull-out toughening mechanism, which dominates the crack growth resistance curve (R-curve). The strengthening-toughening model is established based on the Mori-Tanaka method (M-T method). The influence of inherent defects on toughness function and strength is analyzed by using this model. The theoretical result is compared with the experiment data. This model exactly reflects the change in strength. The theoretical result indicates that defects change the toughness function. Moreover, micro-cracks increase toughness size ac, and the strength of crack instable extensions acutely decreases as defect content increases. This presented model establishes the relationship among the important mechanical parameters of defect, strength, elastic modulus, and the R-curve. © Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and Springer-Verlag Berlin Heidelberg 2014. When TMS320F28XXX DSP programs run from the on-chip flash, it's about 30% slower than that from the on-chip RAM, which caused the poor performance when programs run directly from on-chip flash, so program code need to be transplanted to RAM in order to improve the running speed. This paper analyzes the running processes of TMS320F28335 DSP application and the code removal processes from on-chip FLASH to RAM, and then introduces the transplantation programming method. This method is verified feasible through the experiment designed in the project of gun control system based on DSP TMS320F28335, and it can be extended to practical engineering and industrial applications. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Based on the theory of angular spectrum diffraction, the diffraction transmission of the cat-eye effect reflected light under oblique incidence is derived by two-dimensional discrete Fourier transform and projection combination of the two diffraction apertures. Through numerical computation, the variation laws of the diffraction field distribution with the incidence angle and diffraction distance are given. Then an experiment is conducted to validate the law affected by the incidence angle. The results show that the method used in this paper can exactly describe the diffraction field distribution of the cat-eye reflected light under large angle oblique incidence, and the effect of incidence angle increase on the diffraction mode of the light field can be equivalent to the effect of diffraction distance increase. The relation between incidence angle and diffraction mode of light field can be used in parameter identification aiming at cat-eye targets. Source

On fixed optical path difference, interference intensity of four steps in an interval of quarter of wavelength is achieved by moving mirror step of λ/4 for Michelson wind imaging interferometer (MWII) with large optical path difference, wide field, chromatic compensation and thermal compensation. In this way, the information of velocity, air pressure and temperature for aerosphere can be achieved. In this course, the error of fixed optical path difference, step error and tilting of the moving mirror will affect the results. To better meet the actual application and engineering for MWII, the tolerance of the error for tilting of the moving mirror is discussed in the range of allowance precision, the method of the error is derived, and the curves of the relationship between the temperature, velocity and the tilting of the moving mirror are simulated by computer. This work has a great meaning on the theory research, capability improvement, engineering of MWII and will be useful for the application of Michelson interferometer on the passive measurement of the wind field in the upper atmosphere. Novel coherent properties of corner-cube resonator solid laser were to our best knowledge firstly discovered by us, and the peculiar coherent characters of CCR laser were experimentally studied. Further more the difference between the coherent properties of CCR and Plano-Plane (P-P) resonator lasers were investigated. And based on these special coherent characters, a new coherent laser combining structure in which a corner cube been utilized as the terminal mirror was presented. Source
