Methods and compositions for reducing the frequency of urination are disclosed. One method comprises administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an analgesic agent formulated in an extended-release formulation. Another method comprises administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a pharmaceutical composition comprising multiple active ingredients formulated for extended-release. Yet another method comprises administering to a subject in need thereof an effective amount of a diuretic followed with another administration of a pharmaceutical composition comprising an analgesic agent formulated for extended-release.


Pharmaceutical compositions for reducing frequency of urination are disclosed. The pharmaceutical compositions comprise one or more prostaglandin pathway inhibitors and a pharmaceutically acceptable carrier. Also disclosed are methods of making and using the pharmaceutical compositions.


A method for manufacturing a pharmaceutical composition for reducing the frequency of urination is disclosed. The pharmaceutical composition comprises (1) an analgesic agent and (2) an -blocker, a 5-reductase inhibitor or both.

One method of manufacture include the steps of forming a first mixture comprising a first active ingredient comprising one or more analgesic, coating the first mixture with a first delayed-release coating to form a first component, forming a second mixture comprising a second active ingredient comprising one or more analgesic agents, coating the second mixture with a second delayed-release coating to form a second component, and combining the first component with the second component to form a third mixture.
