The Baden-Wirttemberg Water Management Association (WBW) conducts a water management conference following its general assembly in biennial cycle. For the first time, the conference has been extended to a full day workshop in order to extensively deal with the issues involved such as "water pollution control and renewable energy", in the blocks "biogas plants", "hydropower" and "near-surface geothermal energy". Once again, Mozart's hometown is a showplace of future-oriented developments: The RENEXPO® Austria event showed in its second year how simple and environmentally friendly energy supplies of the future can be. With its unique variety of topics, the RENEXPO® Austria affirmed its status as the state energy fair of Salzburg. At the RENEXPO® Austria, 130 exhibitors presented their innovative products, technologies and services from November 25-27, 2010 to the just under 4,000 visitors from 25 countries. Seven hundred conference participants educated themselves in ten accompanying technical conferences. The topic spectrum ranged from energy consulting, promotion and financing to hydropower, from energy-efficient construction and rehabilitation right to green mobility and from wood energy, local heat, solar technologies and heat pumps to green jobs. IFAT, the world's most important trade fair for innovations and services in the areas of water, sewage, waste and raw materials management, takes place from May 5 to 9, 2014 in Munich. From previous event, there were 2,939 exhibitors from 54 countries and 124,200 visitors from 182 countries came. With the event of 2014, the fair returns to its original name IFAT. Source
