The effect of additions of an organic cationic electrolyte, N,N-dimethyl-N,N-diallylammonium chloride, on the threshold of rapid coagulation, duration of the first coagulation step, and values of the 1-min and maximal turbidity was examined. The coagulating performance of additives in recovery of rubber from SKS-30 ARK butadiene-styrene latex was studied in relation to the concentrations of the dispersed phase and sulfuric acid and to temperature. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2010.

An investigation of the adsorption of gaseous formaldehyde in mixtures with aqueous vapor from atmosphere using natural celite klinoptilotit is reported. Samples from different mining sites were characterized by structural and elemental analyses; the adsorption efficiency was studied by means of spectroscopy and derivatography methods of analysis. The strong dependence of preliminary thermal treatment on sorbent capacity was detected. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2010.

The fatigue processes caused by repeated cyclic switching of polarization in lead titanate and lead zirconate titanate thin films on silicon substrates by applying rectangular pulse and sine wave fields are inves-tigated. Upon an increase in the cycling number, an increase in the coercive and internal bias fields is observed, along with a reduction in the switching current maximum, the switching time, and the switchable polarization. At the same time, no change in the mobility of domain boundaries is observed. © Allerton Press, Inc., 2011.

Polarization phenomena caused by the presence of temperature gradients in a biopolymer such as wood are considered. It is shown that cellulose crystallites are centers of polarization in the fiber-forming part of the considered biocomposite. The relation for elementary polarization is obtained. It is proposed that the supermolecular structure of cellulose in samples of wood be studied by measuring the electric field characteristics of a thermal polarization nature. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc.

A description of a female of Dolichopus uniseta Stackelberg, 1929 is given. A key to the species of the III group of the genus Dolichopus Latr., 1796 (the species with mostly yellow femora and yellow postocular setae), based on the female characters, was compiled for the Palaearctic Region. Alternative process flowsheet machining of the machining of raw waste lumber were analysed, and it was implemented in a real machine model based on the chosen scheme. The forming process of the treated surface of the stock material was examined, and consequently the mathematical models of the geometric errors in terms of independent factors of the profile milling process were defined. Based on these models is possible to construct a treatment process of the raw waste lumber with minimal errors on the surfaces which were treated. The manufacturing of products from raw waste lumber allows to reduce the volume of deforestation and helps to preserve the ecology and economize the material resources. © Published under licence by IOP Publishing Ltd.

The main methods of the known methods of regulation of operating devices of mounted tillers at a given depth of processing are: Altitude, position, power, and combined. However, these methods are effective mainly for massive hinged agricultural tillage equipment operating in more favorable conditions and with special design elements in the form of one or more of the supporting wheels, skis, soles of operating devices, etc. A more promising way to improve penetrability of disc operating devices is the use of forced vibration. The results of experimental verification on a production forest disc harrow KLB-1.7, conducted in VSAFE, confirmed the effectiveness of this method. An in-depth analysis of the functioning of various possible variants of structural embodiment of tractor ancillary equipment allowed offering the following solution to the problem. Using the developed device with a hydraulic drive which is mounted between the tractor ancillary equipment and mounted disc tool, it's necessary to ensure the ability to regulate the links of tractor ancillary equipment with the help of SCW, during the movement of the device. We study the linear-quadratic optimal control problem with the state equation consisting of two sequentially acting descriptor systems. Matching conditions for trajectories at the switch point are absent. However, the minimized functional depends on values of a state trajectory at the left and right sides of the switch point. State trajectories have partially fixed left and right points and, in general, they are discontinuous functions. We present the algorithm for solving this problem, which avoids the use of boundary value problems. It is based on the sequential solving of eight initial value problems for differential-algebraic equations. The formula for the minimal value of the performance index is also given. © 2011 IEEE.
