An annotated catalogue of leaf beetles (Coleoptera: Megalopodidae, Orsodacnidae, and Chrysomelidae) of the Kaliningrad Region (Russia) is presented. In total, 278 species are hitherto known. During the study, all available published sources of relevant information were reviewed and analyzed. All doubtful species recorded till now from the region are commented and removed from the list. The recent Kaliningrad Region's fauna of Chrysomelidae sensu lato is represented by 16 chorotypes. The species of Sibero-European (60 species, or 21.59%), Asiatic-European (57, or 20.51%), and Palaearctic (40, or 14.39%) chorotypes are considered to be predominant. © 2014 Nature Research Centre.

The current paper presents data on 40 beetle species belonging to 23 families from the Kaliningrad Region (western Russia). Eight of them, i.e. Sphaeridium marginatum Fabricius, 1787, Carpophilus mutilatus Erichson, 1843, Attagenus brunneus Faldermann, 1835, Trogoderma glabrum (Herbst, 1783), Dicronychus equisetioides Lohse, 1976, Dienerella clathrata (Mannerheim, 1844), Vanonus brevicornis (Perris, 1869) and Lasiorhynchites cavifrons (Gyllenhal, 1833), are reported from the study area for the first time. A new leaf-beetle species, Calomicrus eocenicus sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae) is described from the Baltic amber. It is the first species of tribe Luperini described from fossil resins. A new paleoendemic species is compared with recent species of the genus and differs from them in distinctly larger and deeper elytral punctation and brownreddish body with dark brown head.


A new flea-beetle species, Crepidodera svetlanae sp. nov. (Coleoptera: Chrysomelidae: Galerucinae: Alticini) is de-scribed and illustrated from the Baltic amber. Psyllototus doeberli sp. nov., a second species of the paleoendemic genus is described. A new genus and species, Succinapion telnovi n. gen. et n. sp. (Coleoptera: Curculionoidea: Brentidae: Apioninae: Kalcapiini) is described and illustrated from Upper Eocene Baltic amber.
