The size of the databases used in today’s enterprises has been growing at exponential rates day by day. Simultaneously, the need to process and analyze the large volumes of data for business decision making has also increased. Storing a lot of content in the cloud extends waiting time and increases search time. Distributed file systems (Hadoop) are key building blocks for cloud computing applications based on the Map Reduce programming paradigm. It efficiently solves this problem. In this paper proposes an efficient content storage and retrieval based on keyword ranking and BIDD(Bitmap Index Database Design) technique in distributed environment. Proposed keyword ranking first extract nouns than give ranks for each extracted noun. BIDD techniques based on bitmap representations are known to improve query response time in a large environment. Hbase (database) of Hadoop is used to store the large content. This paper reports the experimental work on large content storage and its optimal solution using Hadoop database, Hadoop Distributed File System (HDFS) for storage and using parallel processing to process large data sets using Map Reduce programming framework. © Research India Publications.

Due to the intense evolution of IoT (Internet of Things) technology, in which currency notes to bicycles will form a vital part of Internet to exchange their information among the surrounding environments. IoT will definitely consequences in an augmented level of users connecting to the remote servers (via insecure public internet). Connecting through less resource and portable devices requires a light weight, identity preserving and highly secured key agreement and authentication mechanism. In this framework, recently Mishra et al. proposed an anonymity preserving biometric based authentication scheme and claimed that their scheme resists all major cryptographic attacks. In this, manuscript we will demonstrate that, on thorough analysis, Mishra et al. scheme is liable to ‘Forward Secrecy’ attack and based on that, the attacker can realize all key attacks. As a part of our contribution, we will propose a light weight, strongly secure user authentication and key agreement scheme which is best outfits for IoT environment. © Springer Science+Business Media Singapore 2016.

Synthesis and Reactivity in Inorganic, Metal-Organic and Nano-Metal Chemistry | Year: 2016

Chitosan and polyethylene glycol (PEG) were crosslinked with glutaraldehyde to form a blend in the ratio 1:1. The synthesized blend was characterized by FTIR, XRD, TGA/DTA, and DSC to confirm grafting and crosslinking reactions, and scanning electron microscopy to understand the surface morphology. The prepared blend was employed for the removal of metals from dyeing industry effluent. The optimum conditions arrived at for the removal of chromium from dyeing industrial effluent are as follows: pH 5, contact time 4 h, adsorbate dosage is 3 g/L. Kinetic studies and adsorption studies were also carried out to evaluate the adsorption parameters. © 2016 Copyright © Taylor & Francis Group, LLC.

This paper presents a special gating pattern swapping technique for cascaded multilevel inverter, which is used for STATCOM. By using this technique besides minimizing the harmonic level, the inverter unit fundamental output voltages are equalized. Therefore, all the inverter units in each phase leg can equally share the exchanged active and reactive power with the utility grid. This greatly helps the dc-link voltages balancing control. PI Control is employed for improving performance. Fuzzy control is employed to the system for enhancing transient stability. The performance is analyzed using digital simulation. © 2010 Kavala Institute of Technology.

A new class of organophosphorus heterocycles, tricyclic phosphoranes (4a-j) synthesis was accomplished via two step process. It involves the preparation of monochloride intermediate (2) and its subsequent reaction with various phenols in dry tetrahydrofuran in the presence of TEA under reflux condition. These compounds were characterized by IR, 1H, 13C and 31P NMR and were found to exhibit moderate to good antimicrobial activity.

For the self excited induction generators (SEIG), both the frequency (F) and the magnetizing reactance Xm which depends upon magnetic saturation, vary with load even when the rotor speed is maintained constant. The performance of SEIG can be calculated if the Xm and F are determined accurately. Therefore, a crucial step in the steady-state analysis of the SEIG for the given machine parameter, speed, excitation capacitance and load impedance is to determine the value of the frequency (F) and the magnetizing reactance (Xm) In the present work, a mathematical model employing the loop impedance method based on graph theory is used which results in simple formulation and is convenient for computer solution. The unknown magnetizing reactance Xm and frequency (F) has been computed using Fuzzy logic based algorithm. The frequency (F) and magnetizing (Xm) are computed separately using real and imaginary parts. The effectiveness of the method is tested through the simulation for simple shunt SEIG and series capacitor compensated SEIGs i.e. short shunt and long shunt SEIGs. The effects of change in capacitance and prime mover speed are also simulated. The analysis presented is validated by experimental results. © Research India Publications.

Dynamic topology control in multi-hop wireless networks is a focus received much interest in the research society. In this our development, explore the joint power control, channel assignment, and radio interface selection for dynamic provisioning of link bandwidth in infrastructure multi-radio multichannel wireless networks in occurrence of channel variability and external interference. To characterize the logical relationship between spatial contention constraints and transmit power, originate the joint power control and radio-channel assignment as a generalized disjunctive programming problem. The generalized Benders decomposition technique is applied for decomposing the radio-channel assignment (combinatorial conditions) and network resource allocation (continuous conditions) so that the problem can be solved efficiently. In this algorithm is assured to converge to the optimal solution within a finite number of iterations. These schemes in providing reducing outage, packet failure possibility and larger nosiness margin. © 2013 IEEE.

The wireless communication between UAVs (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) has significant and wide range of application that helps to enhance the SWARM feature in UAV platform. To establish the Ad-hoc network communication in UAV each UAV is considered as a communication node. In this research the parameters like energy efficiency, throughput, PDR (packet delivery ratio) and bit rate were taken into the account for the analysis. Wireless networks experience frequent link failss caused by channel interference, dynamic obstacles, and bandwidth demands. These failures cause performance degradation in group behaviour of UAV. It is highly complex in using manual network management. This paper presents an ARS (Autonomous network Reconfiguration System) that enables a multi radio adhoc network to autonomously recover from local link failures and preserve network performance. This function can be realized with use of AODV (Ad-hoc Ondemand Distance Vector) routing protocol and implemented in NS2-based simulation for evaluation. © Research India Publications.
