Haute Alsace University is a multidisciplinary teaching and research centre based in the two cities of Mulhouse and Colmar.Today, UHA is a university of 8000 students with about a hundred courses, both basic and vocational. The founding of UHA was driven by social and business players, among them founding president Jean-Baptiste Donnet, and the university has always had close links with its environment. We consider a numerical method for a fluid-structure interaction problem. Updated Lagrangian method is used for the structure and fluid equations are written in Arbitrary Lagrangian Eulerian coordinates. The global moving mesh for the fluidstructure domain is aligned with the fluid-structure interface. At each time step, we solve a monolithic system of unknowns velocity and pressure defined on the global mesh. The continuity of velocity at the interface is automatically satisfied, while the continuity of stress does not appear explicitly in the monolithic fluid-structure system. At each time step we solve only one linear system. Numerical results are presented. © Springer Nature Singapore Pte Ltd. 2017.

In the framework of the KM3NeT Preparatory Phase project the strategic, legal and financial issues are addressed related to the construction of an European deep-sea infrastructure housing a cubic kilometre size Cherenkov neutrino telescope and providing access for deep-sea research. Many technical issues are already addressed in the KM3NeT Design Study, started in 2006, that at the end of its work will deliver a Technical Design Report for the KM3NeT Cherenkov neutrino telescope. KM3NeT has been included in the ESFRI European Roadmap for Research Infrastructures. The Preparatory Phase will provide the grounds to bring the project to its construction stage. The Consortium performing the Preparatory Phase will include the participants involved in the KM3NeT DS. The major stakeholders are present. The work performed in the Preparatory Phase will be structured in work packages aimed at addressing the following issues: political convergence towards a pan European facility; legal, governance and financial engineering; strategic issues and international networking; integration with regional and global marine and environmental systems (i.e. EMSO); preparing the production of the telescope components and the assembly and test of the system; definition of the data handling and dissemination scheme, and the operation of KM3NeT.

The present invention relates to a cooking article a substrate having a contact surface at least partially made of metal and coated with a non-stick coating comprising at least one layer including at least one fluorocarbon resin alone or mixed with a thermostable coupling binder that is heat-resistant up to at least 200 C., the fluorocarbon resin and, if necessary, the thermostable coupling binder forming a sintered network. According to the invention, the contact surface comprises an interface layer consisting of a polymer layer formed by plasma polymerization from a precursor selected from among unsaturated carboxylic acids, the salts or esters thereof, saturated carboxylic acid vinyl esters, unsaturated dicarboxylic acids, the salts, esters, hemiesters or anhydride esters thereof, and unsaturated epoxides. The present invention also relates to a method for manufacturing such an article.

We present MadAnalysis 5, a new framework for phenomenological investigations at particle colliders. Based on a C++ kernel, this program allows us to efficiently perform, in a straightforward and user-friendly fashion, sophisticated physics analyses of event files such as those generated by a large class of Monte Carlo event generators. MadAnalysis 5 comes with two modes of running. The first one, easier to handle, uses the strengths of a powerful Python interface in order to implement physics analyses by means of a set of intuitive commands. The second one requires one to implement the analyses in the C++ programming language, directly within the core of the analysis framework. This opens unlimited possibilities concerning the level of complexity which can be reached, being only limited by the programming skills and the originality of the user. © 2012 Elsevier B.V. Characterized by a regular porosity in terms of pore size and pore network arrangement, ordered mesoporous solids have attracted increasing interest in the last two decades. These materials have been identified as potential candidates for several applications. However, more environmentally friendly and economical synthesis routes of mesoporous silica materials were found to be necessary in order to develop these applications on an industrial scale. Consequently, ecodesign of ordered mesoporous silica has been considerably developed with the objective of optimizing the chemistry and the processing aspects of the material synthesis. In this review, the main strategies developed with this aim are presented and discussed. © The Royal Society of Chemistry 2013.


In a first aspect, the present invention concerns a kit for a polymerisable composition comprising a portion A constituted by a composition comprising at least one monomer (a1) that is reactive towards a cationic species (b) or a Lewis or Brnsted acid species, and at least one co-initiator, and a portion B comprising at least one cationic salt (e) selected from the salts with formula S1, S3, and S4 shown and defined in claim 1. In a second aspect, the present invention concerns a method of producing a coating or a composite material starting from polymerisable composition comprising at least one salt (e) selected from the salts with formula S1, S2, S3, and S4 shown and defined in claim 10, said composition being polymerised without adding external heat thereto.
