Crambe is an oleaginous plant whose oil content in its seeds places it among one of the possible energy crops for biofuel production. This study aimed to evaluate the effects of fertilization with different forms of application and different doses of swine wastewater on crambe germination. The study was conducted in the experimental area of the Postgraduate Program in Energy in Agriculture of Unioeste - Campus Cascavel. The experimental design was randomized blocks, being an experiment with factorial arrangement 3 × 3 + 1, where the treatments had increasing doses of swine wastewater: 30, 60 and 90 m3ha-1, applied in the planting line in three different ways: below, along with and on the crambe seeds. The results show that the application of 30 m3ha-1below the seed or in coverage increases the crambe germination rates. However, the application of doses higher than 60 m3ha-1resulted in low germination rates.

This study aimed at verify the susceptibility of soil of large agricultural areas to the application of swine wastewater, using of GIS tools for analysis of slope features in the study area. Therefore, a case study was used. The city of Entre Rios do Oeste, in the State of Paraná, Brazil, is an agricultural region with intensive swine farming, so that the great production of wastewater requires large areas for its disposal. The municipality of Entre Rios do Oeste has swine farming as the main livestock activity in parallel with a strong agricultural potential.
