Violence against women and feminicides are some of the most severe problems in El Salvador. During the last few years,some legislative changes as well as changes in matters of public policies have taken place; however,increasing sensitivity and awareness on gender inequality in society have not matched the structural changes. Given this context,the design and validation of violence prevention and promotion programs is mandatory,as well as the implementation of useful tools for the internalization of these changes. The main objective of this paper is to propose a tool for keeping records of everyday situations of gender inequality. This instrument has been already used in a gender-based violence prevention program (De Lemus,Navarro,Megías,Velásquez & Ryan,2014,whose evaluation was done through a quasi-experimental design and sought to achieve one of its goals: to increase awareness on gender inequalities in everyday situations. Qualitative results of this methodology based on other studies (Becker and Swim,(2011) are discussed,with the aim of reducing the existing sexist beliefs and gender discrimination. © 2016,Universidad Catolica de Colombia. In this work, we present an ab initio study of a large set of simple, highly symmetrical ordered Fe-compounds (superlattices of the body-centered cubic structure, BCC), in order to analyze the role of the magnetism in the phase stability of these compounds. Our results, confirm that ferromagnetism and compound stability can be related. That is, the highest magnetic moments are observed for the least stable compounds. We also show that compounds have qualitatively different behavior as regards stability, according to whether their nature is ferromagnetic or non-magnetic. © 2016 Elsevier B.V.

The properties of steels are very dependent on the phases present in the microstructure. The wear resistance and thermal stability of tool steels are achieved with the presence of different types of carbides. So the chemical composition and heat treatment play crucial roles in optimizing the properties of tool steels. The phase transformations in Cr-V tool steel were analyzed during the heating from room temperature up to 1100 °C using DTA and dilatometry. After soft annealing the microstructure of the investigated steel consists of a ferritic matrix and M7C3 and MC carbides, as determined with SEM, EDX and XRD techniques. The experimental results were compared to the computational results (Thermo-Calc).

The paper presents the results of thermal conductivity coefficient Λ measurements of AAC [fly ash technology] with various bulk density and moisture content. Moisture content of AAC is also influencing remarkably the volume thermal capacity. Both are highly dependent on the degree of pores saturation with water and are increasing with its rise. The results of experiments show the effect of bulk density and moisture content on the basic physical properties of aerated autoclaved concrete. Significant negative effect of moisture content on the compressive strength and coefficient of thermal conductivity Λ was confirmed.
