The use of informationisation (or informatisation) in education is expanding and, therefore, the blog (Weblog) as a new medium of communication can be introduced into course teaching. It offers new opportunities for individual learning, teaching and management. The research carried out under this study was focused on blog teaching of a computer graphics module. The shortcomings of the computer graphics module were analysed and consideration given to the features of blog teaching that would address them; this module is supplemented by the teacher's guidance. The use of blogs creates favourable interactions between teachers, students, resources and platforms. A blog teaching experiment was carried out with 93 students selected at random, then, divided into experimental and control groups. The results showed that blog teaching is an improvement on traditional teaching and it specifically boosts students' academic performance. Hence, blog teaching as a method deserves to be promoted. © 2015 WIETE.

A novel strategy of amperometric assay for drug-dsDNA interactions was developed based on an inhibitory effect of antimararial drug (quinacrine) on an electrocatalytic activity of DNA-Cu(II) complex. In this method, a DNA-Cu(II) complex immobilized DNA/polyallylamine(PAA) polyion complex membrane was used as a sensing element. The electrocatalytic activity of a DNA-Cu(II) complex for hydrogen peroxide reduction was reversibly inhibited by electron blocking effect of quinacrine-dsDNA interaction and this inhibitory effect was amplified by the hydrogen peroxide reduction. This phenomenon was utilized for development of a novel amperometric biosensor for DNA-binding drug. From the amperometric current-time curves, the response time of the sensor to 20 μM quinacrine was obtained about 20. s, and the detection limit of the quinacrine was found to be 10 μM estimated to a signal-to-noise ratio of 3.0. Based on the change of steady-state catalytic current, the kinetic analysis of drug-dsDNA interaction can be done in a similar manner of enzyme inhibition, and the binding constant of the quinacrine with DNA can be calculated. This measurement method would be useful for screening of wide variety of DNA-binding drugs and highly toxic pollutants. © 2012 Elsevier B.V.

The positive correlation is known between the four rhythms of human Electroencephalogram (EEG) signals including δ wave, θ wave, α wave and β wave and human mental stress states. So the energy values of the four rhythms of EEG together with their nonlinear parameters can be used to evaluate mental stress states. Here, the four rhythms of EEG was firstly reconstructed by using the technique of wavelet package transformation, where a 6-level-frame was achieved to decompose the original EEG signal with help of the basis wavelet function of "db20". Then, the corresponding frequency-band energy ratio (FBER) of each rhythm was calculated and used to estimate states of mental stress quantitatively. Some nonlinear parameters of α wave including maximum Lyapunov exponent, approximated entropy and complexity level were also calculated and a synthesized evaluating criterion was made to determine human mental stress states. The proposed method was verified to be effective with 10 sets of EEG data. It was shown that its accuracy is higher when evaluating fatigue or non-fatigue states; meanwhile, it is not so good to identify the different mental stress states of weak, middle and serious fatigues.

The hydrazone mol-ecule of the title compound, C15H 13N3O4·CH4O, is nearly planar, with a dihedral angle between the two benzene rings of 1.2 (4)°. The mol-ecule exists in a trans configuration with respect to the central methyl-idene unit. In the crystal, the benzohydrazide and methanol mol-ecules are linked through inter-molecular O - H⋯O, O - H⋯N and N - H⋯O hydrogen bonds, forming chains along the a axis.

A soft-sensor modeling method based on dynamic fuzzy neural network (D-FNN) is proposed for forecasting the key technology indicator convention velocity of vinyl chloride monomer (VCM) in the polyvinylchloride (PVC) polymerizing process. Based on the problem complexity and precision demand, D-FNN model can be constructed combining the system prior knowledge. Firstly, kernel principal component analysis (KPCA) method is adopted to select the auxiliary variables of soft-sensing model in order to reduce the model dimensionality. Then a hybrid structure and parameters learning algorithm of D-FNN is proposed to achieve the favorable approximation performance, which includes the rule extraction principles, the classification learning strategy, the precedent parameters arrangements, the rule trimming technology based on error descendent ratio and the consequent parameters decision based on extended Kalman filter (EKF). The proposed soft-sensor model can automatically determine if the fuzzy rules are generated/eliminated or not so as to realize the nonlinear mapping between input and output variables of the discussed soft-sensor model. Model migration method is adopted to realize the on-line adaptive revision and reconfiguration of soft-sensor model. In the end, simulation results show that the proposed model can significantly enhance the predictive accuracy and robustness of the technical-and-economic indexes and satisfy the real-time control requirements of PVC polymerizing production process. © 2013 Elsevier B.V.

To divide the profit reasonably in the iron and steel logistics alliance, an improved model based on Raiffa Solution was put forward. The service factor was not considered by Raiffa Solution itself before to solve the problem of profit distribution among partners. However, every partner from the iron and steel logistics alliance just had unequal service levels. Therefore, the Raiffa Solution model was improved with considering service factors to solve the above problem. This model considered the upper and lower limits of profit distribution. For validating the model, an iron and steel logistics alliance including six partners by using hypothetical data was analyzed as an example. The results show the modified Raiffa Solution can inspire partners to improve service level better, and promote the development of iron and steel logistics industry accordingly.

Uricase (urate oxidase, UOx) was adsorbed onto a porous carbon-felt (CF) surface and the resulting UOx-adsorbed CF (UOx-CF) was successfully used as a column-type enzyme reactor coupled with a peroxidase-adsorbed CF-based bioelectrocatalytic H 2O 2 flow-detector to fabricate a flow-amperometric biosensor for uric acid. In this flow-biosensor system, H 2O 2 produced in the UOx-CF reactor was cathodically detected by horseradish peroxidase (HRP) and a thionine (Th)-coadsorbed CF (HRP/Th-CF)-based bioelectrocatalytic flow-detector at -0.05V vs. Ag/AgCl. Various adsorption conditions of the UOx (i.e., pH of the adsorption solution, type and concentration of the buffer used as the adsorption solvent, UOx concentration and adsorption time) and the operational conditions of the UOx-CF and HRP/Th-CF-coupled flow-biosensor (i.e., carrier flow rate and carrier pH) were optimized to obtain highly sensitive, selective and stable peak current responses to uric acid. The analytical performance of the UOx-CF and HRP/Th-CF-coupled flow biosensor for uric acid was as follows: sensitivity, 0.25μA/uM; linear range, 0.3-20μM; lower detection limit, 0.18μM; and sample throughput, ca. 30-90samples/h. The resulting amperometric flow-biosensor for uric acid allowed the determination of uric acid in highly diluted body fluids (human serum and urine), and the analytical results obtained by the present biosensor were in fairly good agreement with those obtained by conventional enzyme-based spectrophotometry. © 2011 Elsevier B.V.

This paper studies the global exponential synchronization for coupled Lur'e dynamical networks. Based on Lyapunov stability theory and novel matrix techniques, several sufficient conditions are established to ensure the global synchronization of the proposed network model. These conditions are expressed in terms of matrix and algebraic inequalities, which can be verified and solved easily. It is noted that, unlike existing approaches which may involve heavy computation when the number of subsystems is large, the method developed in this paper can be applied to tackle this case efficiently. Finally, the coupled chaotic Chua system is used to show the effectiveness of the obtained results. © 2013 Springer Science+Business Media New York.

This paper focuses on the problem of designing H∞ filters for nonlinear systems with time-varying delay via TakagiSugeno (T-S) fuzzy models. Some new results on H∞ filter design are proposed by estimating the upper bounds of the derivatives of Lyapunov functionals without ignoring some useful terms, which improve the existing ones. In addition, a sufficient condition for the existence of such an H∞ filter is established in terms of solutions to a set of linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, two examples are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the proposed method. © 2006 IEEE.
