In the BaS-Ga2S3 system, the following compounds form: congruently melting compound BaGa4S7 (rhombic system, space group Pmn21, a = 1.477 nm, b = 0.624 nm, c = 0.593 nm, and T melt = 1490 K) and incongruently melting compounds BaGa2S4 (cubic system, space group Pa3, a = 1.2661 nm, and Tmelt = 1370 K), Ba2Ga2S5 (monoclinic system, space group C2/c, a = 1.529, b = 1.479, c = 0.858 nm, ß = 106.04°, and T melt = 1150 K), Ba3Ga2S6 (monoclinic system, space group C2/c, a = 0.909 nm, b = 1.448 nm, c = 0.903 nm, ß = 91.81°, and T melt = 1190 K), Ba4Ga2S7 (monoclinic system, space group P21/m, a = 1.177 nm, b = 0.716 nm, c = 0.903 nm, ß = 108.32°, and T melt = 1230 K), and Ba5Ga2S8 (rhombic system, space group Cmca, a = 2.249 nm, b = 1.215 nm, c = 1.189 nm, and T melt = 1480 K). The compositions of eutectics are 38 and 72 mol % Ga2S3, and their melting points are 1120 and 1160 K, respectively. The BaS solubility in γ-Ga2S3 at 1070 K reaches 3 mol %. © 2016 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

In the SrS-Ga2S3 system, there exist two individual compounds: SrGa2S4 (a = 2.084 nm, b = 2.050 nm, c = 1.220 nm; congruent melting at 1530 K) and Sr2Ga2S5 (a = 1.253 nm, b = 1.203 nm, c = 1.117 nm; peri- tectic melting at 1330 K); both are orthorhombic. We discovered a compound of composition Sr4Ga 2S7; this compound crystallizes in cubic system with the unit cell parameter a = 0.6008 nm, space group Pa3, and decomposes by a solid-phase reaction at 870 K. Eutectic compositions are 42 and 73 mol % Ga 2S3; eutectic melting temperatures are 1210 and 1170 K, respectively. The SrS solubility in ?-Ga2S3 at 1070 K reaches 4 mol %. © Pleiades Publishing, Ltd., 2010.

The paper discusses the technological features of strip foundations combined by highstrength fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) membranes - membrane foundations. Technological features are considered on example of a four-storeyed building in Siberia in the city of Ishim. Physical-mechanical properties of soil and the building construction design are presented. The authors describe the foundation construction and building manufacturing procedure including ground works, preliminary works, rebar placement, formwork and concrete work. In conclusion, the paper presents material consumption, charts and geotechnical monitoring data. [Abstract].

Proposed method of disposal of precipitation sewage treatment plants and increase soil fertility in Nizhnevartovsk. The properties of soils obtained using precipitation generated in the wastewater treatment process of the city. The effect of dose sediment germination, growth and yield of lawn grass. The optimum content of sewage sludge in the soil. Lawn grass crops in soils produced using sewage sludge showed the resistance of plants to adverse conditions of continental climate in West Siberia. Soils obtained recommended for creating urban lawns, which will reduce the cost of purchasing the traditional types of fertilizers, eliminate the need for storage of sewage sludge. © 2015 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

At present a number of techniques for artificial strengthening weak foundation soils have been developed and implemented, most of them having poor efficiency due to expensive materials and equipment used. Therefore, studying and developing new ways to improve soil bearing capacity is an urgent task. The paper presents the experimental study of one of the ways to improve soil bearing capacity and stability through introduction of a sandy pile reinforced vertically along the contour with a geosynthetic permeable element (geogrid CCP 30/30 - 2.5). A technique for determining the temporal strain condition of the given structure has been developed after the linear theory of viscoelasticity. Theoretical calculations for the vertical movements of the pile body, comparable with the results of in-situ tests are presented. © 2015 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

The article discusses the dependences of carbon monoxide (II) concentrations on the height of the building façade based on the results of in situ tests with the goal of preventing the inflow of pollutants into the ventilation system. Carbon oxide (II) may enter the premises when the inlet ventilation system is working through the inlet chamber from external sources of emission. i.e. vehicles and low and medium-power boilers in the urban environment. We have constructed nomograms to adjust the height of the receiving hole for air intake by the ventilation system depending on the quality of the outdoor air on the height of buildings from external sources of different heights in relation to the building. We have suggested guidelines allowing to design ventilation systems depending on the quality of outdoor air over the entire height of the building, which cannot be done at the design stage.

Heat and mass transfer model for the numerical investigation of the evaporation process of a single droplet in water jet when moving through high temperature gases was developed. The integral characteristics of the process under investigation were calculated. The macroscopic regularities of water droplet evaporation, as elements of jet, in the high temperature gas mixture (as exemplified by combustion products of typical condensed substances) were determined. © Owned by the authors, published by EDP Sciences, 2014.

The results of the experiments carried out are the logical justification for the development of the heat transfer models in the air-filled enclosed areas which are determined by the walls of finite thickness and under conditions of the gas infrared sources operation. It was found that the air convection processes play an important role in formation of the thermal regimes of the areas heated by the radioactive flux coming from the upper boundary of such areas despite the low thermal conductivity of the gas. © 2015 Owned by the authors, published by EDP Sciences.

The obtained results of experimental studies provide the basis for the heat transfer mechanism specification on the studied conditions that are typical for many practical applications.
