This paper deals with the effect of copper nanopowder added to the diet of animals on adaptive processes of their organisms, which can give out completely because of the prolonged impact of harmful environmental conditions. Homeostasis, including regulation mechanisms, fully ensures the vital processes in the body. Homeostasis depends on the activity of different functional systems. The obtained results suggest a positive impact of copper nanopowder on the homeostasis indices of the animals (morphological pattern of blood, blood biochemistry, blood reaction, etc.).

The destruction of complexons derived from succinic acid under the action of UV radiation was studied. IR spectroscopy, thin-layer paper chromatography, and complexometric titration were used to determine the destruction products of these complexons. It was found that the complexons decompose under UV irradiation substantially more easily than ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid does, and the products of their decomposition can undergo a biological utilization under natural conditions. The data obtained in the study make it possible to choose, instead of ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid, ligands that will be nearly fully destructible in the light without deteriorating the ecology. © 2017, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.

The application of hardfacing materials for producing high-strength coatings on components working in abrasive wear conditions is one of the important directions of research into increasing the service life of road construction, agricultural and other types of equipment. However, in producing this equipment, the ecological safety requirements are sometimes ignored and this results in negative effects on the environment and the health of personnel. This article describes the results of scientific and research investigations of the team of authors to develop a cladding powder by the method of chemical gas phase deposition of nickel tetracarbonyl on the surface of aluminium oxide particles and application of the powder for producing wear-resistant coatings. The powder materials are deposited in a closed cycle excluding contact of the personnel with toxic substances and emission of contaminants into the atmosphere, resulting in a safe process. Plasma coatings with the required physical–mechanical properties have been produced. This confirms the efficiency of the approaches used in this case and increases the service life of working sections of machines subjected to abrasive wear. © 2016 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group.

This paper presents results of long-term monitoring over the yields of small grain crops in the agricultural landscape of terminal moraine hills. We highlight the correlation between the varied in scale structures within the landscape such as particular slopes, their morphological parts (elementary geochemical landscapes), soil phases and space fluctuations and productivity of winter rye and spring barley with grass underseeding. It is ascertained that barley has a significantly more pronounced reaction towards variations in landscape than that of the winter rye. Also there was identified a range of measures geared at optimizing the processes in growing those cultures in different landscapes.

The use of modular-assembly principle of design engineering of working bodies of sowing machines can increase the versatility, reduce metal intensity and power capacity of executable sowing process flows. The performed analysis of design features of seeding apparatus for growing small-seeded crops such as fiver flax, spring rape, clover, showed the presence of abnormalities of qualitative parameters on the requirements for the area of plant nutrition, uniform distribution of seeds in a row and on the width of the planter. The aim of the research work is the creation of the laboratory facility for identification of optimum performance indicators and dependencies of disk pneumatic feed on the pre-set values and modes of operation, as well as the processing of the experimental data.
