The results of calculating the heat flux and local friction coefficient at the supersonic velocities of a flow past an impermeable spherical surface are presented for the case when the viscosity-temperature dependence is determined according to the Sutherland law. The mathematical model of a turbulent boundary layer for compressible gas [1, 2] is used. The heat flux and local friction coefficient are analyzed assuming that the turbulence regime starts from a critical point. Use is made of Dorodnitsyn's method of generalized integral relations [3]. The results of computational experiments are compared with the data of [1, 4]. © 2013 Allerton Press, Inc. Source

In this paper, some data on monocrystalline specimens and turbine blades produced from the nickel-base heat-resistant alloys (ZhS6U-VI, ZhS30-VI, and ZhS32-VI) is considered using the methods of metallography and X-ray diffractometry after performing gas isostatic pressing and hightemperature vacuum treatment operations. © 2012 Allerton Press, Inc. An algorithm of analyzing the design parameters for a thin-walled wing from composite material based on the efficient distribution of structural material between load-carrying elements is described. We consider the problems of convergence acceleration for the iteration design analysis. Also presented are the examples of determining the design parameters for a superlight aircraft wing and the rational parameters of the filler in the form of a three-dimensional rod structure. © 2011 Allerton Press, Inc. Nonautonomous control systems with uncertain nonlinearities subjected to bounded exogenous disturbances are considered. Based on the method of matrix comparison systems and the framework of differential linear matrix inequalities, we suggest a solution approach to the problems of state estimation, stability and boundedness with respect to given sets, as well as suppression of disturbances and initial deviations using linear state-feedback control. © 2016, Pleiades Publishing, Ltd. This paper examines the separation of gas mixtures based on nitrogen trifluoride and carbon tetrafluoride by different versions of gas hydrate crystallization. We calculate the distribution coefficient and separation factor of the major components of the mixture in the temperature range 253-273 K for different pressures and gas mixture compositions. The results demonstrate that gas hydrate crystallization ensures efficient separation of mixtures containing nitrogen trifluoride and carbon tetrafluoride. Directional crystallization allows nitrogen trifluoride to be separated more completely, whereas crystallization at constant pressure ensures a larger yield of the purified material. © 2014 Pleiades Publishing, Ltd.
