To provide a chain tensioner capable of constantly providing an appropriate reaction force and damping characteristics for a variety of tension fluctuations irrespective of chain elongation, and capable of accommodating the tension fluctuations. The chain tensioner includes a distal end plunger 130 slidably inserted in a distal end bore 121 of a plunger 120, and a distal end biasing means 141 accommodated inside a second oil pressure chamber 102 such as to be able to expand and contract and to urge the distal end plunger 130. The chain tensioner further includes a check valve unit 150 that stops oil flowing from an oil pressure chamber 101 into the second oil pressure chamber 102, and a first relief valve unit 160 that releases oil toward the oil pressure chamber 101 when the pressure reaches or exceeds a predetermined high level.

To provide a chain tensioner capable of constantly applying an appropriate pressing force under any situations including high-speed, high-load operation, at the start of an engine, and normal range operation, without an increase in size or amount of oil consumption. A check valve unit 150 is disposed between an oil pressure chamber 101 and an oil supply part 103. A second oil pressure chamber 102 is formed between an outer circumferential surface of a plunger 120 and a cylindrical surface 113 of a plunger bore 111, into which oil leaking from the oil pressure chamber 101 flows and whose volume increases as the plunger 120 retracts. Further provided is a relief valve unit 130 that releases oil when the pressure of the second oil pressure chamber 102 reaches or exceeds a predetermined high level.


A low temperature storage system, a transport mechanism, and a low temperature storage vessel are provided, which enable downsizing and simplification of the transport mechanism, as well as stable transport of stored objects. A low temperature storage system (1) that stores objects (P) at low temperatures includes a low temperature storage vessel (10) and a transport mechanism (20) for loading and unloading the stored objects (P) to and from the low temperature storage vessel (10). The transport mechanism (20) includes a reciprocating part (30) that has a holding part (35) holding the stored objects (P) and that is capable of reciprocating along a transfer direction, and guide unit (40) for guiding the reciprocating part (30) along the transfer direction. The guide unit (40) include an in-vessel guide (50) fixedly placed inside the low temperature storage vessel (10), and a telescopic guide (60) configured to be able to extend and contract along the transfer direction. The telescopic guide (60) is provided independently of the in-vessel guide (50) so as to be connectable to the in-vessel guide (50).

Provided is a cultivation system, whereby it becomes possible to improve and uniformize the quality of plant bodies cultivated in a plant production factory and to achieve cost reduction. A cultivation system equipped with: multiple cultivation containers, each of which accommodates plant bodies and a culture medium for cultivating the plant bodies and is provided with a recording medium for recording identification information that is used for identifying each of the plant bodies; a cultivation shelf, in which multiple shelf plates respectively having the cultivation containers placed thereon are arranged at predetermined space intervals; light sources, each of which emits vegetating light over the upper surface of each of the shelf plates; and a conveyance device for conveying the cultivation containers between the multiple shelf plates. In the cultivation system, each of the cultivation containers can accommodate multiple plant bodies and is equipped with a recording medium, identification information that is used for identifying each of the accommodated multiple plant bodies. The cultivation system is additionally equipped with: an inspection unit which has an accommodation section in which one or more of the cultivation containers are accommodated, wherein the inspection unit can inspect each of the multiple plant bodies accommodate in the cultivation container or the cultivation containers placed in the accommodation unit; and a recording unit which can record the result of the inspection of each of the plant bodies, which is obtained by the inspection unit, on the recording medium provided in the cultivation containers in connection with the identification information for the corresponding plant body.
