The invention relates to a video program selection arrangement (15; 40) for use in video program receiver, such as for example a TV apparatus or set top box. The arrangement comprises a user interface subsystem (11; 47) which displays on a screen (6; 51) distribution schedule information of at least one video program that is currently distributed. In case the user selects by entering a watch command a video program that he wants to watch, the arrangement checks whether for the selected program a recorded time shifted version is available and if so renders the time shifted version. If no time shifted version is available, the live rendering of the selected video program is rendered.


The invention relates to an electronic device (1 c) for demonstrating ambient lighting (41-49) surrounding a display. The electronic device comprises a display interface for sending an image (21) to a display, an ambient light controller and a processor. The ambient lighting controller is operative to control ambient lighting (41-49) surrounding the display using parameters determined based on contents of the image (21). The processor is operative to use the display interface to cause a virtual display device (25) and virtual ambient lighting (61-69) surrounding the virtual display device (25) to be displayed on the display. The virtual ambient lighting (61-69) is generated using further parameters similar or identical to the parameters. The parameters are determined based on a content item displayed by the virtual display device (25) and not based on the virtual ambient lighting (61-69). The invention further relates to the method performed by the electronic device and a computer program product enabling a programmable device to perform this method.


The invention relates to an electronic device (1) for providing a signal to at least one projector (7). A processor (3) is operative to obtain a lookup table from a storage means (9). This lookup table comprises a mapping between a position in an image source and a position in a surround image. The processor (3) is further operative to use the mapping to determine the surround image from a main image displayed or to be displayed on a display (5) and to provide a signal to one or more projectors (7) for causing the one or more projectors (7) to project at least part of the surround image around the display (5). The invention relates to a method of detecting an object in a sensor area of a sensor. The method comprises the steps of detecting (1) an object in a first region of a sensor area of a sensor, the first region being equal to or smaller than the sensor area, and determining (3) whether the object is used to make a gesture in the first region. The method further comprises the steps of detecting (5) the object in a second region of the sensor area, the second region being smaller than the first region and the first region encompassing the second region, and determining (7) coordinates of the object in the second region, the coordinates representing an absolute position of the object in the second region. The method also comprises the step of causing (9) a display to display a pointer at a position corresponding to the coordinates and to display information in response to the determined gesture. The invention further relates to an electronic device for detecting an object in a sensor area of a sensor.


The invention relates to a printed circuit board (1). The printed circuit board (1) comprises multiple light engine controllers (5) and a content processor (3). Each of the multiple light engine controllers (5) is operative to control a light source and a display of at least one corresponding projector (7). The content processor (3) is operative to receive a content signal and to provide a part of this content signal to each of the multiple light engine controllers (5). A part of the content signal provided to a light engine controller (5) depends on the position of the light engine controller (5). The invention relates to a flexible printed circuit board (1) that comprises a flexible strip (2) and multiple light emitting elements (5). The flexible strip (2) comprises an overlength area (3) and is foldable substantially 180 degrees with a radius of substantially 0 mm in the overlength area (3). The multiple light emitting elements (5) have been applied to the flexible strip (2) outside the overlength area (3). The invention also relates to a method that comprises folding a flexible printed circuit board (1) between 0 and 90 degrees in the overlength area (3) in a first direction into a first folded state and folding the flexible printed circuit board (1) in the first folded state substantially 180 degrees in the overlength area (3) into a second folded state.


The application relates to a playback apparatus (1) for content, such video, audio or multimedia information. The content playback apparatus includes a resume function. The resume function resumes a playback of the content at a stop position (S) where a previous playback has been has been stopped in the past. The playback apparatus (1) comprises a playback section (2) for playing back the content and a control section (3) for controlling the playback apparatus. The play back can be controlled in normal playback mode and in a preview mode. In the normal mode the content is played back at normal speed. In the preview mode the content is played back in a playback time condensing mode. In the playback time condensing mode less playback time is required than in the normal mode for the same content (part). The control section (3) is arranged to start in response to the resumption command a playback in the preview mode from a restart position located before the stop position and to switch control to the normal mode when the stop position is reached.

The invention relates to a method and apparatus to restore an image from its degraded form. The invention further relates to an offline training process and online image restoring process used in this method and apparatus. In the offline stage a data base with pairs of training image and corresponding degraded training image is used to generate feature vectors representing various local characteristics of pixels. The feature vectors are clustered so as to determine a dictionary of pixel classes having representative feature vectors. Later, for each pixel class sets of coefficients of restoring filters are optimized using the training images in the data base. In the image restoring process feature vectors for a plurality of pixels of the degraded image are determined (S11). For each of the degraded pixels a near matching pixel class is determined (S12), which having a representative feature vector which is close to the feature vector of the corresponding degraded pixel. The degraded pixels are filtered with a restoring filter which set with filter coefficients belonging to the near matching pixel class (S13), so as to restore the degraded image. The method and apparatus are applicable in many applications e.g. camera, HD/UHD TV, document scanning systems etc. to restore the sharpness of an image.

The invention relates to a method of enabling user interaction. The method comprises the steps of displaying an at least partly transparent three-dimensional object (41) on a transparent display means of a wearable device and using a camera of the wearable device to detect a physical object (43) in an area which corresponds to the at least partly transparent three-dimensional object (41) when viewed through the transparent display means. The invention further comprises the steps of displaying an indication (45) on the transparent display means when the object (43) is located in the area and enabling user interaction with the display device by sending data representing at least one of a three-dimensional position and a change in three-dimensional position of the object (43) in the area to the display device. The invention also relates to an electronic device for enabling user interaction.
