Because of attic oil on the low-permeable top of the continuous AB 1 reservoir expanded program of horizontal drilling was initiated for of Sovetskoye field (Western Siberia, Russia). As shaly interval stability is a specific issue in horizontal wells special attention is always paid to the drilling mud and seal shaly material interaction (incl. clay swelling and disintegration). Again, any mud used should not damage greatly the formation. For the set of 7 drilling muds lab tests were conducted to recognize the optimal composition which is both does not collapse a shaly seal of Koshay suite and recognized the best permeability to oil restoration for the reservoir. As a result two mud composition (Megadril™ and 1,08 g/cm3 Flo-Thru™) were suggested to use.

Realization of polymer-gel solutions targeted placement technology on purpose of water shutoff by injection well treatment is considered. The gel placement in heterogeneous reservoir systems without crossflows optimal treatment algorithm and achieved results of the field application are presented.

The subject of the research is the core samples of Late Jurassic nanopermeable deposits of the Bazhenov suite of one of the fields of the Tomsk region (Western Siberia). A comparative analysis of the available laboratory methods for determining the porosity and permeability of the core samples , including the method for estimating the permeability of crumbled core (GRI method), is carried out. The results of studies are applicable at the calculation of hydrocarbon resources in deposits of the Bazhenov suite and evaluation of potential wells flow rates. It is shown that natural fracturing of argillaceous-silicitic deposits of the Bazhenov suite has decisive influence on reservoir properties, increasing the permeability by 2 - 6 orders, and the porosity - by 50% on average. Noted allows to formulate a strategy of further investigations of petrophysical properties of the Bazhenov suite sediments as characteristic of mainly fissuring void.

The experience of many years execution of engineering and environmental survey by the TomskNIPIneft OAO Department of Ecology in the oil and gas fields in Western Siberia is stated. A general approach to carrying out of this type of work, allowing to fully study natural and technological conditions, to assess the current ecological state of the territory and to develop recommendations for the prevention of negative environmental consequences from engineering and business activity, is presented.
