Illiberis (.Alterasvenia) banmauka sp. nov. is described from China and Myanmar (Burma). A key to the males and females of all known species of the subgenus Alterasvenia Alberti, 1971, is provided. Source

New data are provided on the ecology, phenology and morphology of the zygaenid moth Pollanisus eumetopus Turner, 1926. The known distribution of the species is significantly increased. The chaetotaxy of the first instar larva is described and the setal arrangement appears to be characteristic for the Artonini. The larvae possess three anal combs similar to other species of the genus Pollanisus and of the tribe Artonini. The presence of a small ball of silk spun on the outside of the cocoon is a character apparently typical of the genus Pollanisus but has not been described for other Procridinae. The colour of ocelli, formerly considered an important character for distinguishing species of Pollanisus, is variable in dried specimens of P. eumetopus and therefore not suitable for species identification. The R- and S-enantiomers of 2-butyl (7Z)-dodecenoate (alone or in mixtures), recently identified in the natural extracts of Illiberis rotundata pheromone glands, were used as lures in sticky traps to study the occurrence of Procridinae species in Italy in 14 localities during 2010 and 2011. Three species were attracted during the study - Adscita mannii (Lederer, 1853), A. geryon (Hübner, 1813), and Jordanita notata (Zeller, 1847). The most numerous species was A. mannii. Lures with (25)-butyl (7Z)-dodecenoate attracted males of Adscita mannii and A. geryon, while those containing (2R)-butyl (7Z)-dodecenoate attracted males of Jordanita notata. © Societas Europaea Lepidopterologica (SEL). Based on morphology, Adscita {Adscita) dujardini sp. nov. is described from Italy, France, Switzerland and Slovenia. The differences from A. (A.) albanica (Naufock, 1926) are discussed. The specific status of the new taxon is also confirmed by DNA data. A key to the western Palaearctic species of the genus Adscita Retzius, 1783, is provided. Source

New data on Zygaenidae from French Guiana are provided together with a checklist and key to genera and species. Seven species are newly described: Pampa hermieri (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, Tampa pseudovenata (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, Stylura guyanensis (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, Monalita faurei (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, Monalita laguerrei (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, Seryda gallardi (Tarmann & Drouet), new species, and Seryda confusa (Tarmann & Drouet), new species. All species are discussed in detail and their habitus and genitalia are figured. A key to the narrow-winged genera of American Zygaenidae and all species of French Guiana is provided. Source
