Objective: Herb combination has been very popular in traditional medical prescriptions such as Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM). Persistent efforts and attempts have been made to dissect the action mode of TCM in recent years, which has provided certain evidence for inter-herbal interactions. However, the interactions among different components in a single herb have been largely neglected. Materials and Methods: In this experimental study, the interactions among different components of a single herb were explored. The effect of three main sesquiterpenes (germacrone, curdione, furanodiene) isolated from Curcuma WenyujinY.H.Chenet C Ling on MDA-MB-231 and MCF-7 breast cancer cell proliferation alone or in combination with a fixed-dose-combination was investigated. Results: Furanodiene significantly inhibited cancer cell proliferation while germacrone and curdione showed no effect. Germacrone enhanced furanodiene's anti-proliferative effect. Curdione showed no effect on furanodiene's anti-proliferative effect but partly reversed the anti-proliferative effect of germacrone and furanodiene combined. The morphological and mitochondrial membrane potential (ΔΨm) changes showed similar results. However, they demonstrated complicated interactions on the expression of apoptotic-related proteins and key signal transduction proteins. Conclusion: Unpredictable and complex interactions among different components in Curcuma WenyujinY.H.Chenet C Ling may exist. The intra-herb interactions should be taken into consideration when attempts are made to interpret the art of TCM formulation or other similar recipes.

Getting network video packets quickly from network traffic is the foundation of network video surveillance and management. For obtaining network video packets immediately from network traffic, this paper presents a fast network video packet classification algorithm. When the network video stream is identified, this algorithm could easily obtain all its following packets from network traffic only by using simple XOR operation, Shift operation and linear Hash function. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than simple rules filter method in higher network traffic. © 2012 IEEE.

Based on sustainable development theory, sustainable tourism development system was established which was made up of population subsystem, society subsystem, resource subsystem, environment subsystem and tourism subsystem. A system dynamics model, which could describe the relations among the components in the sustainable tourism development system and its development, was built, using system dynamics. The system dynamical model was realized by software tool VENSIM. As an application of this model, a simulation was carried on of sustainable tourism development in Tibet. A best development pattern is presented through regulation of several key indexes, aiding to promote sustainable tourism development in Tibet.

How to get online audio packets quickly from network traffic is important to online audio surveillance and management. This paper presents a fast obtaining online audio packets algorithm. When the online audio stream appears, this algorithm could easily get all its following packets from network traffic only by doing xor and shift operation on IP address and Port filed of a packet. The experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance in higher network traffic. © 2012 IEEE.

The rapid development of information technology promotes the advent of ubiquitous age, and people's focus is mostly transferred to the ubiquitous learning. For the ubiquitous learning, the learning environment is important. Through studying all kinds of identification technologies, learners need the ubiquitous learning environment which they can get the right learning contents and achieve selflearning at the right place and the right time. In order to support learners with increasing social skill, in this paper, a specific technical framework of ubiquitous learning environment based-on the Internet of Things is designed, which includes three major layers: perception layer, network layer, application layer. Moreover, the system architecture of ubiquitous learning is described, in this system an example is used to explain how the systems work. Using IOT learning can be happened at anyplace, anytime, anypeople, and any content. © 2011 IEEE.

Keyframe extraction is the fundamental process of video content analysis, retrieval and so on. For extracting keyframe from video compressed stream efficiently, this paper presents an useful and fast method. It firstly computes the similarity set of adjacent I frames' DC images, secondly uses kmeans algorithm to cluster the similarity set, and finally selects keyframes based on the clustering results. The experiment results show that our method is able to get proper keyframes from test video files and finish keyframe extraction in much less time. © 2010 IEEE.

Uniformity and stability of field emission are seriously influenced by adhesive properties between carbon nanotubes(CNT) and substrate. CNT/bentonite(bentonite power, BP) compound film are fabricated. Interlayer created by CNT and the basement decrease potential barrier of CNT film by adding BP, and thus contact performance is improved. Test shows that adhesive performance of CNT/BP film is enhanced. More-over, uniformity and stability of field emission increase distinctly.

Number of vehicles passing by in a period of time on the highway is a powerful index to measure current traffic situation, it signifies on traffic control. Video-based method is used commonly in vehicles statistics, it identifies and counts vehicles in image sequences taken from a static camera. In this paper, we present a novel method for identifying and counting vehicles. This method firstly segments regions of moving object, then deals with this result to determine whether it is a full vehicle and finally counts vehicle by a simple formula. The experiment result shows that the proposed method could count vehicles accurately in the scene of traffic flow monitoring. © 2011 IEEE.

This paper put forward an image recognition method based on Laplacian Eigenmaps and Minimum Neighbor, the method makes use of incremental Laplacian Eigenmap reducing the dimension and extracting the feature to data points. In the dimension reduction process, it is maintained local information optimization in some extent. In the aspect of operation efficiency, it avoids the adjacent map to re-build in the entire dataset after the new point arriving, so greatly reducing the computational complexity. Simulations show that the method of image recognition rate is better than the PCA, LPP and other methods. © 2011 IEEE.
