We demonstrate pump angle and position effects on lasing from all organic quasicrystal fabricated by nine-beam interference. The output wavelengths of lasing are experimentally investigated with different pump angles. The underlying mechanism is explained by the photonic band edge simulated by finite-difference time-domain method. Additionally, the position effect on lasing is also demonstrated, and the emission characteristics of lasing are studied. The mirrorless laser is featured by low cost, and simple fabrication, which enables quasicrystal based on holographic polymer-dispersed liquid crystal an all organic miniature lasing devices. © 2017 Informa UK Limited, trading as Taylor & Francis Group

In order to carry out China's emission reduction commitment, local governments must undertake a certain carbon emission reduction (CER) tasks and make a plan to realize them. However, the quality of CER tasks and its acceptability will have contradiction inevitably, which could lead to the commitment cannot be finished successful. In this paper, a decision-making framework with multi-executors is established for CER plan on the basis of the interactive group decision-making theory. It will not only ensure the quality of the plan, but also ensure the mutual exchange of information between CER executors and plan-makers, which could increase the acceptability and operability of the plan. In the end, a case study is presented to demonstrate that the decision framework can deal with such a complicated problem and lead to an ideal result effectively. © 2017 Published by Elsevier Ltd.

The solubility of candesartan cilexetil (Form I) was measured by a gravimetric method in aqueous solvent mixtures (ethanol-water, acetonitrile-water and acetone-water), and the calculated values by (NIBS)/Redlich-Kister equation agreed well with the experimental data. The relationship between solubility of candesartan cilexetil (Form I) and molar fraction of organic solvents (ethanol, acetonitrile and acetone) shown unimodal curves, and this phenomenon can be explained by ΔHsol-ΔGsol compensation theory. For ethanol-water and acetonitrile-water mixture, the plot of ΔHsol-ΔGsol compensation was nonlinear with positive and negative slopes, indicating that the increases of solubility were controlled by two different mechanisms (entropy and enthalpy). However, for acetone-water mixture, the plot of ΔHsol-ΔGsol compensation was a linear curve, indicating that enthalpy is the dominant mechanism to control the solubility enhancement. These results can also be used to explain that acetone molecule played an important role in increasing the solute-solvent interactions of the candesartan cilexetil (Form I). © 2012 Elsevier B.V.

This study explores the interaction between perceived and calculated thermal comfort in high-speed railway station in Cold Region of China. To achieve this, a questionnaire survey in two typical high-speed railway stations in Cold Region of China was conducted in conjunction with physical measurements. The study results reveal that there is a relatively large difference between perceived thermal sensations and calculated predicted mean vote (PMV) from the measurements for the majority of the waiting hall of high-speed railway station. This finding implies that the calculation of PMV is not suitable for the situation in air conditioned waiting hall of high-speed railway stations. The results also show that the length of time a respondent staying in the waiting hall also have effect on the rule of the thermal comfort. © 2015 The Authors. Published by Elsevier Ltd.

This paper introduceda study for the methodology of carbon nanotube (CNT) sensor applicable for the strain measurement in microscale. By using the Raman strain sensitive and polarization selectivity of the carbon nanotubes, the analytical relationship of carbon nanotube strain sensor for each polarization Raman configuration are deduced and compared. The work regarded that the dual coordination polarization-controlled configuration is most suitable for the in-plane strain measurement. Then, a new method for this configuration is presented. Experiments proved that the proposed method can effectively realize the measurement of in-plane strain components by using polarized Raman. © (2013) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland.

In this paper, we obtain the lower and the upper bounds of the blowup time of the solutions to quasi-linear parabolic problems subject to Dirichlet(or Neumann) boundary condition. Our results are suitable for the problems with any smooth bounded domain Ω ⊂ ℝn and n ≥ 3. In some special cases, we can even get the exact values of blowup time. © 2013 Springer Basel.
