This article reviews the development of various organic insulated bus (tubular insulated bus) in China, including their advantages & shortcomings, and their contributions and problems. These problems reflect outstanding in: tubular insulated bus in the bus and the bus connector. Due to the electric field distribution is very poor, bus to ground flashover often occurs; some tubular insulated bus and switch equipment, arrester electrical interface, because of the electric field concentration, corona often occurs and further to flashover, or due to the lack of effective insulation size design, manufacture and assembly quality is not good and bus discharge to the ground, to the operation unit caused by power loss. This paper analyzes the cause of the accident, also put forward the improvement and improved suggestion. In our country, during the difficult development process of varieties of organic insulated bus, the author also sees the hope: the development prospects for a new type of capacitive compositely insulated bus. The bus is connected with the bus, the bus and other electric apparatus, and the design of multiple capacitor shields are adopted, the electric field distribution is uniform, and the insulation of the interface is reliable. In this paper, the characteristics of the material, manufacturing process and quality control and other aspects of the bus insulation reliability and control of the unique experience of partial discharge. Partial discharge is a tubular insulated bus lifeline long-term safe operation, which controls the tubular insulating bus PD characteristic, grasps the insulated tube bus to the direction of high/ultra high voltage. © 2016, Xi'an High Voltage Apparatus Research Institute Co., Ltd. China's urbanization promotes the development of RMU, and put forward the requirements of high re-liability, miniaturization, environmental protection and intelligence for RMU. In recent years, in order to meet these requirements, various types of RMU have been developed and produced, several kinds of main insulation medium voltage power distribution cabinets in the current market are discussed and compared. Meanwhile, a with-drawable compact air-insulated RMU is put forward, and the structure characteristics, reliability and economy of this kind of cabinet are analyzed.
