6061 aluminum alloy car body panel has a broad application prospect and the poor formability is one of the difficult points of its application. Based on the 6061 aluminum alloy plate as the research object, the material parameters are obtained through the tests, and the typical covering parts (top) of a model of car is adopted as an example by virtue of the stamping simulation software DYNAFORM to analyze the aluminum lid thickness change, stress and strain distributions during the pressure forming process. Simulation results prove the good adaptability of the aluminum alloy plate stamping on car roof. Results obtained also further verify the effectiveness of the numerical simulation on the complex aluminum alloy car cover element and feasibility, which provides scientific basis for the design of aluminum alloy sheet stamping process.
