Twist distribution functions of self-twist yarn are examined by calculating the twist distribution functions of two strands from the nip of self-twist rollers to the convergence point in three different convergence modes. Twist distribution curves of three different convergence modes on the half cycle length are presented by the twist distribution functions. The images show that the self-twist yarn with a phase difference has a lower self-twist peak than inphase self-twist yarn. Thus the existence of a phase difference not only causes a decrease in the self-twist but also a decrease in the length of the weak-twist zone. Furthermore, the value of the phase difference is calculated according to the twist functions of two strands. Compared with the conventional result, that by the method in this paper is closer to the actual length of the zero twist zone. Source

In order to spin the wool type fiber on cotton spinning equipment, the fly frame of TJFA458A is rebuilt: changing seats of middle rollers, increasing the regulating range of top support plate, using passive bottom cleaner and so on. The spinning scheme to spin different length fibers is provided. Through spinning the modified polyester fibre/ viscose fibre of 38-51 mm and 85 mm, the spinning effect of the new fly frame is verified. The results show that the new fly frame can spin roving with multi-length fiber and the quality of control spinning is better than slip spinning. Source

In ring spinning process, roving twist factor and break draft ratio in ring frame should be reasonably designed in order to avoid the twist redistribution on drafted strand. The arrangement of these parameters is sort in order by using Borda number law in fuzzy decision making method (FDM)to get optimal project for better quality yarn, and optimal parameters are verified in the ring spinning. The results show that: optimal parameters gained by Borda number law in FDM can be used to get better quality yarns; a larger roving twist factor and the smaller break draft in ring spinning conduct to the better yarn quality. Based on the analysis of numeral winding technology, by adopting single cone control system and frequency conversion driving technology, a new numeral precision winding coning project is brought up to realize numeral anti-ribbonning winding. The control system of numeral precision package winder GA036A is designed by using industrial grade 16 bit Fujitsu micro controller MB90F347 as the core. The design project of its power off save parameters, tension control and software are introduced. The results show that this system can fulfil the require of high-speed, numeral lamination, soft type and perfect package. Source

Self-twist yarn consists of three zones; Z-twist zone, S-twist zone and no twist zone. By comparison longitudinal shape of self-twist yarn with single yarn and two-plied yarn in ring spinning, the results show Z-twist zone and S-twist zone of self-twist yarn have the likewise characteristic with two-plied yarn in ring spinning. No twist zone of self-twist yarn is composed of two separated strands, which is the critical zone influencing the yarn performance. Two linear density serf-twist acrylic yarns are spun with five different producing speed. By testing Z-twists, S-twists and no twist length, the results show that Z-twists and S-twists per half cycle of self-twist yarn decrease with the increase of self-twist producing speed. Therefore, in a fixed cycle length and oscillating stroke of self-twist rollers, self-twist numbers per half cycle are not only relative with the self-twist yarn counts, but also the producing speed. The magnitude of no twist zone length has increased with the increase of producing speed and is relative with the yarn count. The coarser the yarn count, the greater no twist length. Source
