An experimental study on the operating conditions and emission characteristics of large-sized LPG bus is conducted with on-board emission test technique. The results show that the operating conditions of large public bus is quite different to the driving cycles ESC and ETC for bench test of heavy-duty vehicle engine specified in national regulation. The average speed of bus is 16.7 km/h, idle time accounts for 26.6% of total operating time while the times of acceleration and deceleration account for 61.3% with their value falls into the range of -0.5-0.5m/s 2. The excess air coefficient of engine is 1.06~1.5, the average emission rate of CO, NO x and HC is 0.016, 0.19 and 0.026 g/s respectively, which increases with the rise in vehicle acceleration. The high HC emission region is located at low speed and high acceleration area, while that for NO x at high speed and high acceleration area.

In this paper, we presented a hardware design example of automobile door with local interconnect network (LIN) bus. The LIN bus based automobile door has follow functions: manual or auto lift and auto lift out the car, auto anti-pinch, enable/disable the lift motor, central controlled door lock, door-controlled top lamp of cockpit, auto unlocking and locking, and so on. In order to improve the anti-pinch ability and realize the sensorless control approach, the multiplexing current sampling technique is used to solve the disadvantages of the traditional grouping current sampling. The multiplexing current sampling and the distance estimation combined method are proposed and the distance estimation algorithm for electric-window driven by DC motor is given. In addition, the power supply circuit and the receiving and sending circuit for the LIN bus controller are presented. © 2011 IEEE.

On the basis of the market demand, our company proposed to upgrade the power steering system of some cars, from hydraulic power steering to electric power steering (EPS). First of all, the system match of key parts was discussed. For determine of assist characteristics curve, the handling characteristics of the car were tested, and then the speed coefficient was fitted out according to the results. EPS system simulation model was established based on MATLAB/SIMULINK, the aligning and damping control strategies were formulated and the parameters were optimized. EPS controller was designed and the hardware-in-the-loop simulation test-bed based on DSPACE was built. Some tests were implemented on the bed and the results showed that the control strategies were effective and the controller can meet the requirements. © 2011 IEEE.

Base on six component test system, the load spectrum of a certain type of car were obtained in skid pad. As the input data, the fatigue of the twist beam was analyzed by the use of multiple computer aided engineering (CAE) as finite element method, Multi-body dynamics and fatigue analysis. The risk of the cracking position was predicted and contrasted with the road test. The results show that the predicted damage position based on the measured load spectrum was in good consistence with the road test. For the cracking risk position, corresponding optimized scheme was presented, and the damage distribution after optimization was given. The optimized scheme effectively reduced the risk of cracking of the original scheme, and the cracking problem of the twist beam was solved. © 2015, Journal of Mechanical Strength. All right reserved.
