A piezoelectric generator was designed and manufactured. Firstly, by analyzing effects of related factors on piezoelectric ceramic's power generation, the shape and size of the piezoelectric ceramic were determined. The stiffness requirements of impact spring and recover spring were given. Secondly, the piezoelectric ceramic's modes and the piezoelectric generator's impact response spectrum were measured, it was shown that impact can excite piezoelectric ceramic's axial vibration modes, so the piezoelectric ceramics produce more electric charges. Finally, the generating power of the piezoelectric generator was tested, its instantaneous power could reach 0.3W and light up 210 LEDs.
