On the basis of solving Kalman filtering real-time alternative updating of variance method for single river, river network is resolved into four kinds of primary unit, which are flow boundary type, water level boundary type, inland river type and node type, and real-time alternative correction modes of single river, according to unit type, are extended into river network hydrodynamic model to realize the united computation of river network flow and real-time correction of state variable. In order to match the style and the characteristics of different length of field data of river network, the selection of variance updating modes in the model is flexible, and every updating model is automatically switched to relevant processing module in terms of primary unit type. The Kalman filter with corresponding dimension is dynamically created for every updating module at every time step. The correction analyzing results of Taihu basin river network show that water level correction is diffused into partial river network so that river network system is updated through nodes based on mechanism of solving looping river, and the impacts of water level correction on imbalance and flow motion state of partial river network is deeply analyzed. The feasibility of carrying into real-time alternative updating of variance during flood forecasting is verified. Source
