A bushing service tool kit includes a clamping plate, head plate, and a mounting plate for a hydraulic cylinder, as well as a clamping member. An alignment member is mounted on one side of a bushing that is mounted in a bushing mount and that is to be replaced, and the clamping plate is mounted over the alignment member. The head plate is mounted on an opposite side of the bushing, and the clamping member clamps the head plate and clamping plate toward each other to clamp the bushing mount therebetween. The mounting plate, with a hydraulic cylinder mounted thereon, is mounted on the clamping member facing toward the clamping plate, whereby the hydraulic cylinder is aligned with the bushing. The cylinder can then be operated to remove the bushing and install a replacement.

A blind hole puller kit includes a plurality of different sized collets, a plurality of pins, an adapter, and a pulling device. The pins have differently sized first ends corresponding to the collets, and second ends that include a common mounting interface receivable in the adapter. A pin corresponding to a desired collet is configured to be mounted via it mounting interface into the adapter to form an actuating device. The actuating device, via an external thread of the adapter, is configured to be threaded into an internal thread of the collet to actuate tines of the collet to grip the inner surface of a hole to be pulled. An end of the adapter opposite the pin is configured to be mounted to the pulling device, whereby the pulling device can be operated to pull the hole.

A system for flaring an end of a fluid line includes a first and second adapter mountable on a first and second jaw of the gripping tool, respectively, and an arbor. Once mounted, the first and second adapters each have a working surface facing toward each other defining a channel half-profile. In a closed position, the working surfaces together form a channel from the half-profiles having a flare shape portion and a linear portion for receiving a fluid line in a non-slip fit. The working surface of one adapter has a U-shaped profile, and the other adapter is configured to be received therein. Each sidewall of the U-shaped profile defines a port opening into the channel. The arbor includes a die head that forms a flared end on a fluid line received in the channel as the arbor is inserted therein via the port.

A tester for a default mode of operation of an alternator is provided. The tester includes an internal memory having computer executable instructions and a processor coupled to the internal memory and to an alternator via a communication bus. The processor is configured to execute the computer executable instructions in the internal memory to provide at least one parameter associated with a vehicle to the alternator simulated as a communication signal over the communication bus, detect an absence of the communication signal at the alternator, test, upon detecting the absence of the communication signal, whether or not the alternator enters a default mode of operation, the default mode being indicated by a preset output voltage uniquely associated with the default mode and monitored by the processor, and indicate whether the alternator entered the default mode successfully.

The controller determines a quantity of refrigerant recovered from a refrigeration system by obtaining a first pressure signal from the pressure transducer corresponding to a first pressure at the first location, operating the compressor to recover the refrigerant from the refrigeration system after the first pressure is sensed, obtaining a second pressure signal from the pressure transducer corresponding to a second pressure at the first location after operating the compressor, and determining an amount of refrigerant recovered from the refrigeration system based on the first pressure signal an the second pressure signal.

The information may include procedures for resetting and diagnosing the tire pressure monitor system. The tool may include a storing module that stores the information and a displaying module that causes the information to be displayed on a display of the tool. The tool may enable a user to input data regarding a vehicle. Based on the vehicle data input by the user, the tool may determine a tire pressure monitor system installed on the vehicle using the information stored. Based on the tire pressure monitoring system installed on the vehicle, the tool may determine one or more reset or diagnostic procedures that may be performed by the tool. The tool may also reference the owners manual of the vehicle. The tool may also include an updating module that updates the information stored by the tool. The tool may also include an update interface that may be, for example, an RS232 port. The tool may interface with an electronic control unit of a vehicle.
