A back-illuminated CCD imaging system based on FPGA+NIOS II structure was designed, and thermoelectric cooler was used on the CCD chip to greatly reduce its dark current, thus the CCD camera can obtain high sensitivity and low readout noise. TCP/IP transport protocols were used for image data transfer, realizing remote network control. And also the hardware design, refrigerating system and software design of this system were discussed in detail. Source
