Aiming at the destruction and rupture of base bleed charge occurred in the process of launching, the axial stress, radial stress, tangential stress and comprehensive stress occurred in the process of launching of base bleed charge were analyzed. The effects of stress on the base bleed charge were verified by tension and compression test. The results show that within a short time began to fire the projectile, the axial stress of base bleed charge increases dramatically and reaches peak value quickly, in the time the radial stress increases slowly, the comprehensive stress is mainly the axial stress; then to the projectile muzzle fired out time nodes, the axial stress of base bleed charge decreases gradually, radial stress increases gradually, the comprehensive stress affected by two kinds of stress begins to decline. The comprehensive stress reaches the minimum value and then turns to increasing state, at this time the comprehensive stress is mainly the axial stress. The comprehensive stress of base bleed charge exists in the first half of launching. Main measures to avoid the broken on base bleed charge is to reduce axial additional stress. The experimental value of axial stress approached the calculated ones, and the axial stress was the main influence causing the rupture of bast bleed charge. Source
