In order to meet the needs of design of prefabricated assembly shield tunnel under explosion, A three- dimensional FEM model for analysis of dynamic response of shield tunnel under internal explosion loading is proposed, which can model the contact effects of segment-segment, segment-bolt and segment-soil. Taking typical metro running shield tunnel as an example, the failure mechanism and dynamic characteristics of the tunnel under internal explosion loading are analyzed. Comparison study of the blast-resistant characteristics between shield tunnel and integral cast in-situ tunnel is conducted, the failure characteristics of segment and bolt are revealed based on calculation results. Example analysis results show that blast-resistant characteristics of shield tunnel is inferior to that of integral cast in-situ tunnel, segment joint is the frail part of shield tunnel to resist internal explosion loading and enhancing bolt strength and tenacity can improve the blast-resistant characteristics of shield tunnel. Because of good impact toughness and high load carrying capacity, RPC-filled steel tubular columns promise to be good blast-resistant and impact-resistant structural members. Experimental investigation for impact-resistant property of RPC-filled steel tubular columns is conducted in this paper. Dynamic response of the columns under axial impact loading is studied by means of numerical simulation method. Increase coefficient of load carrying capacity and ratio of load carrying capacity of steel tube to that of RPC core in the columns are obtained. Source

In order to study the dynamic response characteristics of segment joint of shield tunnel under internal explosion loading, a three dimensional FEM model of dynamic response of a typical metro running shield tunnel is proposed. This model can simulate the contact effects of segment-segment, segment-bolt and segment-soil based on the nonlinear dynamic analysis software LS-DYNA. The failure mechanism of a shield tunnel under internal explosion loading is analyzed and the failure characteristics of segment and bolt are revealed. The analysis results show that the blast-resistant characteristics of shield tunnel can be improved by enhancing bolt strength and tenacity. Source
