Through the long-term deflection observation results and the measured data of effective pre-stress of Humen bridge before and after reinforcement, using three-phase bridge long-term deflection calculation method, compare the measured data and the calculation conditions in three kinds. Basing on the measure value of construction degradation, presenting the long-term deflection correction coefficient of long-term deflection to predict construction deflection. Analysis results show that the calculation model considering the construction degradation is more close to the practical situation. The long-term deflection calculation method based on the coefficient of correction can be used in the prediction calculation. © (2014) Trans Tech Publications, Switzerland. Source

To improve the activity of fly ash and make it to reach the standard of road performances is great significant to the rational use of fly ash. In this paper, different chemical activations of fly ash are studied which are evaluated with the 7 d and 28 d unconfined compressive strengths of fly ash binder based on the principle of chemical activation method. The results show that: the activity of fly ash is the main factor to affect the strength of various types of fly ash binder and the low activity of fly ash reduced material strength; Compound activation is better than a single activation, which are recommended to used for improving the activity of fly ash with low activity; The addition of NC additive significantly increases the activity of fly ash, and use of NC additive for improving the activity of fly ash with low activity is an economic and effective method. The design grading of aggregates, determined lime-fly-ash and admixtures the best proportion and uses the volume design method to lime-fly-ash stabilized mixture design. The regularity of the strength, rigidity, anti-contraction and anti-erosion performances of lime-fly-ash stabilized mixture varying with the ratio of lime-fly-ash is studied, and the optimal mixing of lime-fly-ash is optimized with the grey relation analysis. The results of research show: the mechanical performances of lime-fly-ash stabilized mixture increases, anti-erosion performances decreases and the anti-contraction is of no significant effect as the proportion of fly-ash raises; NC can help to improve the synthetical performances. The grey relation analysis is one kind effective material assessment method which can overcome the disadvantage of the single target design being not able to pay attention to other road performances. During the cold winter, there are unfavorable factors such as a large amount of snow and long-term ice on the road, which seriously affect the traffic and transport as well as the economy development in the northwest region. Therefore, it has become a research focus of road engineering that how to solve the problem of the snow and ice on the road efficiently, rapidly and environmental-friendly. In this paper, the experimental correlation formula of snow-melting rate and surface temperatures was investigated thoroughly in a self-built test rig of thermal snow-melting system. Meanwhile, the "thermal pipe - subgrade - snow" coupling model was developed to study the lag snow-melting mechanism. By means of the transient numerical analysis of the heat transfer law under complex structural type and ambient condition, the influence of the pipe depth, pipe spacing, heating temperature and ambient temperature on the total snow-melting time during the complex snow-melting process was shown and discussed. The results could be considered as basic references for the design and optimization of the thermal snow-melting system. Source

The corrugated steel culvert or bridge has many advantages such as stable performance, convenient installation, shorter construction period, environmental-friendly, good durability, low requirements on the foundation, lower construction cost, so it can replace reinforced concrete or masonry bridge in highway construction. The corrugated steel pipe (plate) has been used in many programs successfully in our country and abroad, so it has much value for generalization. Relying on an engineering project of Sixu Highway during Anhui period, this paper has a test to research the strain of Corrugated steel arch bridge, and get the change pattern of tangential strain under vehicle load. The results indicate that tangential strain of 8/8 span is different from other test points under low embankment load, we should take more consideration. Source
